  1. thanks gouldian. Priorities change lah- I am making a huge loss from the hobby, selling off me prized deltec equipment. Was actually considering storage until one day I resume, but that will mean just unneccessary clutter. Anyway, the tank is still totally encrusted with corraline- sucks calcium like no body's business. A bit tiring to maintain the calc just to feed them. Sian liao. Anyway met of really nice people in this hobby. It had been a good run. I will reply to my PMs. Cheers
  2. Thanks guys for the interest I have a whole lot of live rock- how much to tell the truth I do not know. A 100kg? The AP850 is an older generation model replaced by the Ap851 with larger collection cup. Otherwise, no difference between the two. The Ap850 is driven by a eheim 1060. The foam is amazing. I will try to reply to the PMs. My tunze is overpriced, as I have received comments that the older muticontroller (knob type) price has dropped substantially? Not sure if this is true- I have been out of the loop for a long time. Perhaps the forum can suggest a reasonable price? All equipment less than 2 years old. Thanks
  3. Hi Sorry I have been out of the hobby a while due to personal commitments. Selling my equipment and converting to a freshwater/ planted tank. All items in good condition. Self collect at AMK. Cash on delivery Assorted corals and fish to be given away to buyers so bring your own pail. Live rock- heavily corraline encrusted. $10 per kg (remember to bring containers) Deltec AP850 Protein skimmer. $800 Deltec PF600 Calcium reactor, inclusive of current contents (half load) Rowalith & Magnesium Pro $700 Tunze multicontroller (older knob turning type) with 2X6000 tunzes. Inclusive of 2Xtunze magnet holders $800 Feel free to PM for enquiries but I might not be able to respond speedily. Ideally, I would like to clear the livestock first before moving to the equipment. Cheers Riot
  4. I think he skipped the talking and prefer getting down to the action. I realised the cars itself doesnt dont make a diff- they dont really have unique handling specs. If you mod a cheapo car to the level of the high end cars, it will handle exactly the same. So you might wantot get a car and spend money on building it up. Alternatively, try to win the blacklisters' cars and use them in the next race to save money. The final BMW M3 is a let down. Sorry hammanbmw I also find beating the cops far more difficult than winning the races- try the "park on top of bus" trick to escape coppers, survivie the timing, etc. Hope this helps.
  5. Hi Ervine- I tried that before but the 2Xblue did not fully take out the yellow tinge. You will need more double? triple? X blue tubes to balance out to attain a crisp white. But at least you can expect good growth. See if it grows on ya. Cheers
  6. I think a good quality SS stand will cost quite a bit more. Have you looked at possible 2nd hand cabinets and tanks in the pasar malam? Can get quite good deals from reefers upgrading or giving up especially. Also, if you are going to put it in your room, you might want to consider the heat load - ie chiller exhaust = warm room = sweaty tank viewing = lousy make out room. Might want to consider running t5s and suitable corals. unless oyu want to air con 24/7. Cheers!
  7. Neat scaping and layout too. Any chance of a full tank shot?
  8. Hee hee of course not ok if they turn white lah. That means die already. Too lazy to remove them and just leave them inside the tank, hoping they will be resurrected from the grave one day (so far never happen). At least got corraline so not that bad.
  9. I have used the eheim auto feeder and the regular ones from the lfs. Both works about the same, you can set a variety of feedings (up to 4 times for the eheim and more for the regular). The quantity dispersed is dependent on the size of the container opening. Only eheims allow multiple turns ie you can set at 1pm turn twice (hence dose double amount). The regular ones turn once. I find the regular ones more secure as they have a screw clip to attach to the tank, but doesnt work for euro braced tanks. If double side taped to the bracing, the regular auto is flimsy and easilyl knocked into the water (killed two of my autos this way) The eheim has a lower profile so its more stable on the bracing. My personal opinion only hor. Hope this helps.
  10. Learnt from Edwin from Paradiz Reef they are holding Pohl's CV in stock. Might want to check it out. Do feedback about the results (if any)- interesting/ mysterious product.
  11. Anyone knows if its possible to game NFSMW with a souped up starter car, like the VW GOlf? It would really be cool to kick the top blacklisters with a jazzed up mini lah. Any possibility? Or do i need to move up to the lotus and lambos?
  12. I love playing cat & mouse with the cops.
  13. Cityofangels- the clowns host in my LPS near the sandbed, and one occassionally snuggle between the branches of my hydno. And yeah, the corraline sucks up more calcium than the few sps I am running. The rocks are so heavily encrusted, the corraline is layering on each other. This is more a liverock with corraline tank, rather than a reef any more.
