How about the durability of the vortech pumps?

Is it worth the higher price for vortech? I m having doubts on tunze quality. Have been changing the power transformer every one year or so.

Calibration n accuracy of the probe is a variable. For me, I always measure the water outlet dkh to see if it is over 40. If not, I will lower the controller cut off limit. Measurement is done when the ph is at the lower cutoff limit. U also need to regularly measure the tank dkh to check if the reactor output is sufficient to meet your tank demand. This is my practice, it works for me HTH

I have tried not changing water for my 6ft tank, and only top up using unfiltered water weekly. Initially for the 1st few months, all things still looks ok, but then, i observed a build up of algae with time. I am running skimmer, algae scrubber, and Np biopellets. Have now switched to DI water for top up.

Hi, Is there any step up connector to connect a 16/22 Ehiem tubing to the next size up? Have bought a pump of smaller diameter n need to hook up to skimmer inlet.
