  1. Many thanks for the offer. I'm still not yet decide whether I should shift it. If I need your pail I will let you know. Once again really appreciate the help. Thanks.
  2. Many thanks for the advice. It seems quite troublesome to shift it and also having some risk in loosing some LS. Not sure whether I should do it actually. My original idea is to take out 50% water, remove most of the LR, leave all fishes in and slowly push the tank. My floor is marble and I believe if just to move a little, it should not cause any problem, but now I need to move quite a lot and still require turning, which actually let me think twice....... My another concern is whether the cabinet will damage my flooring even though I was told the cabinet was built to allow some movement. Btw my tank and cabinet is about 2 years old and still in good condition. Thanks.
  3. Hi All Reefers, I need advise from all expert, I have an intention to shift my 4ft FOWLR tank (abt 400L) position for about 5 meters away but need a 90 degree turn. Any advise what will be the best and most easy method to do that? Do I really need to remove everything in the tank or sump in order to move it? My cabinet was made from N30. Appricate all advise given. Thanks.
  4. Thanks for all the valuable advices. It really help.
  5. Oh in that case how normally we setup a QT tank as I will not always have fish in the tank? Do we still need a filter or just using air stone pump? But we normally need new fish to be in QT for at least 2 weeks or more, how we maintain the water quality? Changing water everyday? I always thought that if the water is running, the nitrifying bacteria will still be around.....it seems that I was wrong. Thanks for the advice.
  6. Hi All Bro/Sis, Need some advise, I had recently setup a QT and using a Dymax filtering system. The tank has been through proper cycling process and ready to use. My question is if I have no fish inside, can I switch off the filtering system to cut off the noise (as it is a little noisy) as well as save some electric bill? When there's fish then I will switch it back on. Will it affect the good bacterial grow in the tank? Many thanks for any advise.
  7. Sorry to highjack this post.....how about video?? Thanks.
  8. Thanks for the advice. I have some questions while treating him in the QT. 1. After the treatment, do I need to change 100% of water or partial water will do? 2. After the treatment, will my filtering system require clean up and redo the cycling process again before I can put fishes? Hope the med will help. Thanks!
  9. No I didn't dose any med. Will stress cause fish not able to see? Anyway I don't think is stress as it look very peaceful in the beta box. He is eating (sucking) well with the flakes I feed him. His body color is still normal. Also If he can see he should able to notice my net when I trying to catch him.
  10. I got a purple tang from LFS but it seems to be blind. When he was in the QT, he kept swiming in circles and his mouth is always on above the water just like a dolphin. Later I transferred him to the display tank, he did the same thing. He sometime hide in a corner didn't swim around, once he started swimming will be in circles like dolphin. Other tangs in the tank had been poking him even their size are so much smaller. I had no choice but to put him into a Q box inside the tank. Btw is so easy to catch him as he seems not knowing there's a net going near him. Inside the box he became clam and peaceful. He didn't seem to know when I feed him and also not seeing the food, but when his mouth happened to touch the food (flakes), he will suck it in. This has been continue for more than few weeks. His body color is fine and his eyes look normal. Any idea what happen to him and any way to cure him?? Many thanks for the advice.
  11. He did not make it......at the end.... I only dose twice cupramine in my main tank but he seems very weak so i transferred him to my IQ5 which can consider a q-tank. he was recovered nicely after I quarantine him n treated him with yellow powder. He was eating well and his skin and fins have fully recovered. He was in IQ5 for more than 3 weeks and I was planned to put him back into my main tank but the timing was not right as I was going for holiday for 2 weeks. With such I moved him with IQ5 to my sis place n get my nephew to take care. When I back from holiday, he did look a bit weak but still eating. I then put him back in my main tank but by the following day, he was gone. Still not sure what happen though....sad...
