  1. mine is 3FT but the MH set I saw should be 4FT.
  2. Hi brothers, Just a simple question. Is T5 light good enough for keeping the following corals? My tank height is 2FT. LPS such as torch coral, hammer coral, bubble coral, elegance coral, and Soft Coral such as Leather and Colt If yes, what should be the recommended number of T5? 4 tubes ok? What intensity? Thanks!
  3. Hi brothers, Sorry, I would like to ask a very silly question. I have never seen a MH lightset before till recently. I was really shocked when I saw the set because the width of the set is almost twice of my 2T5 light set. Is this normal? Or is it just that brand...? I was thinking of getting a MH lightset before, now I see it, I am scared that it may be too big...maybe too heavy for the tank itself?
  4. Dear brothers, I have 2 T5 tubes - white 10,000k and true artinic for my 4ft tank. The 4 ft tank is 2ft in depth. May I know which type of corals will do well with the above lighting? I know SPS is out for sure. What about soft coral, buttons & polys, LPS? I believe where you place it also will affect. Any brother can advice? Thanks!
  5. got ppl want? becos I usually dont see successful tank sale here, especially big tank...how to transport?
  6. thanks, so how do you interprete them? is it 1/2hp for certain gallons? and 1/4hp for another?
  7. Hi, anyone knows of company that buy in 2nd hand 4ft tank and cabinet? thank you.
  8. Dear brothers, often see people mention about 1/2 hp, 1/3 hp when they talk about chillers. but what does that mean actually? Thank you. Regards, Damsels
  9. most of the commerical sites which are retailing this product comments that it is good for 70g, 90g or even 100g...hmm...so not really true? Any other hang-on skimmer that is good for 4ft? Thanks!
  10. Dear bros, need some advice on prizm skimmer. Thanks so much in advance. currently having a painful problem with my 4ft tank, 10mm glass. my tank only comes with a IOS - dont have a sump. The IOS partition is miserable narrow that I cannot fit in my skimmer and its pump, AND a return pump to the main tank. Thus I am considering external hang-on skimmer like prizm skimmer. But have questions as: 1) prizm skimmer - wil be too heavy for the tank glass? well...i presume shld be safe since they are meant to be hanged...shldnt be too heavy right? 10mm glass... 2) does the skimmer comes with its own pump? i saw a few picture of the pump, looks like there is a pump inside to draw the water from the tank. so just that pump is enough for the skimmer to work? 3) well...the collection cup or whatever is good enough to prevent any foam and water from overflowing? wait my floor all wet hahaha
  11. Yo brothers! Asking on behalf of my friend, anyone have a good reliable tank maker to recommend? My friend is looking for someone who can supply a 2ft tank with a sump and do the necessary piping for him.
  12. OH! didnt notice plate coral will move itself. But still dont understand why a single overturn will kill it... too bad I forgot to examine it carefully to see if any nipping is done.
  13. Hi, Read from most sites that boxer shrimps are reef-safe but on LiveAquaria it is mentioned that they may nip corals and anemones open to eat the undisgested food. Just want to hear from your guys what's your opinion, because I have a suspicious encounter. Had a plate coral doing well for 2 weeks. 1 morning found it overturned and dropped on the sandbed (was on a rock previously), so something must have done it. Since then, the coral dont open and die off. So I wondering now...is my boxer the culprit?
  14. Even more confusing now... some websites are using the same name "Green Star Polyps" but having different scientific names... http://saltaquarium.about.com/cs/coralphot..._dillpolyps.htm VS http://reefsources.itgo.com/features/galle...starpolyps.html This is confusing...
  15. Dear all, Not very good with such calculation. Need some help here. If I have the following equipment for my 4ft tank, how many power sources should I be using to prevent any overload? 2 MH 150 watt 2 tube of blue lights 1 powerhead 1 skimmer 1 chiller 2 pumps
