  1. wow.... missed so many updates over the last few weeks..... now I do not even know when to comment. oh... firstly great decision on bf.... haha... Ray was eyeing him already.... Ding! haha... I like the beta boxing in sump concept... really neat. loads of space to put eqpt too as they are not permanently partitioned. The dry electical partition is another wonderfully idea. The filter sock compartment is higher than the rest of the sump and totally enclosed. awesome... even when sock is clogged and overflowing, water will not splash and there will not be any salt spray on cabinet inner wall. The full enclosure also reduce a lot of noise produced from water gushing down. Nice rocks, nice scape. nice dummy mockup..... lol... A very well thought tank which I am sure other hobbyist can benefit from. 2 thumbs up !
  2. The sunburst was hiding like this for 1 week over.... Then it gradually comes out a little more each day. finally after 2 weeks, it is now hovering in mid water during the day. I have not seen it feeding though... not sure how it survives... But he better feed soon before he dies of starvation.
  3. k k... next time I take photo... I drop a pebble inside so you can see...wahahaha..... There are dirt lah... just not visible from photo. I do mop the tank base though. My front rocks a removable. So I shift them to the left, mop the right side and siphon. then move the rocks to the right side and mop the left side.... haha..... crazy me..... but seeing a clean base is very satisfying.....
  4. keke... vagabond... thats a good idea.... Hwee..... your gsp needs to be trimmed already? I need some sponsorship
  5. Thanks Hwee...... my tank scape changed liao.... haha..... did some scaping exercise last week or so.
  6. bro, venustus was posted on previous page ....
  7. hey castx, great progress ! you might want to try to build some caves with the rocks you have. then you can place the corals on top. also instead of buying the entire coral, maybe share frags with friends. frags will be more suitable for nanos. cheers JAcky
  8. yo bro, good to see your tank thread here ... how's your sump like?
  9. lol... does kiko future in laws visit SRC??? They must be sweating liao......
  10. wah wah wah... bro..... good thought process and setup looking good. keep those pics coming !
  11. Hi Littleburger.... Kudos to you for doing your due diligience on selection of tank maker. You definitely gets to keep your bra unlike some of the newbies here. Some thoughts for food. carbon - you can just leave them in a filter bag, there is no need for FR. Get a biopellet reactor and a FR for rowaphos. good job and keep us posted. camping here....
  12. nice tank... looking forward to see your setup complete & running ....
  13. 2 mins... lol... I do not even know where to begin. you need to read up more bro....good luck
  14. A bit pasieh to post my photos after seeing TOTQ Eniram's shots..... I was like...wow... wow.... WOW.... WOW !!! Truly an inspirational tank. Well done Jeremy ! Anyway I have added a couple more rocks for Bluey to hide as Venustus has been chasing after it whenever they are in near proximity. So here's an updated FTS of my modest tank. You will realize there is no sign of Blueface, Emperor and Rusty. I have sold them to reduce bioload.
  15. A pic of my elegance...... The face is very green heh
  16. Rocky blue ring around the eye seems to be fading. I think that nice feature fades off once he turns to adulthood.......
  17. When I bought him, the fins were all dark blue. Now you can see the tip of fins are starting to turn yellow..... will be interesting to see the him morph to adult. I had an emperor once that took about 2.5 yrs to morph. Let's see how this fella transitions.
  18. bought a sunburst as well. Not an easy fish. extremely suicidal. I introduce it into the tank and he has been lying on the tank bottom like this for the past 3 days.
  19. Some new additions.... I often have pellets on the tank bottom. Got a huge blood shrimp (3 inch) - as large as my PBT to be the tank scavenger for leftover food. the only problem.... mine is a BB and he has problem moving around on the tank floor ...
