My zoas will all be suffocated soon. SOS

Help is needed from all reefers. Attackers sent from hell have desended in my tank. First the Zoas, then later everything else.

Grey polyps have spread among my zoas colonies and the rocks. The advancing enemies are too strong for me.

I need help from you, reefers. Your experience, ideas, and reinforcement would help me fend off the deadly stars, sent from Satan.

The counter attack will begin soon, with your help.

I will show you the enemies first ( next page, captured by reconnaisance i phone ).

I have sought help from some reefers. Reefer M asked me to rubbed all the stars. Only 2 problems. I will rubbed all my zoas in the process too. Its like blanket bombing, enemies and allies all will be killed. The end does not justify the mean. Secondly, what happens if rubbing enraged them and they get bolder, bigger and harder.Rubbing is a stimulating act, not usually in warfare, but an act of physical love. I dont love these stars. So dont ask me to rub them, reefer M.

Reefer C suggested to me to push NO3 to zero. The enemies will melt away, sounded the confident Reefer C. Hm... that seems like chemical warefare to me.

Again 2 problems. Implementation and execution difficulties. I really am not sure how to ensure NO3 is Zero. Add more chemicals ? I have gotten rid all my chemicals weapons since Saddam Hussien paid the price for saying he has these toxic destructive weapons . Secondly, i was told by another veteran reefer, that a prolonged zero NO3 environment will wipe off all my LPS units too. So i have to abort this operation too.

Then reefer M, came out with his most brilliant idea. Remove all the rocks and toss them away.

He is actually asking me to decomm. Self destruct. I dont buy his idea. I actually think reefer m might be a spy, working for the stars.

Shall continue after my early lunch. In the mean time, if you are reading this, please think of some clever strategy to help me.

Thanks,

mike

I have faced this issue before but mine were those brown star polyps growing over my zoa colonies (not sure if my method will work on your grey polyps).. You can try to dip all your zoa colonies in fresh water. The grey polyps will die off, leaving the zoas.

Back from lunch. I had starfich and starfruits. I chewed them hard. Its my warning shots to the stars. The only stars i appreciate are the twin stars on the she chest, covering the vital parts.

yo, dont get distracted. Its enemies pscho warware!

To continue, I made a desperate call to well known 5 star ( again star ) General Reefer LL, a fish specialist.Too bad, no fishes that he know of, will devour these nasty stars. The General has spoken. I need more ideas.

Then something struck me. Harlequin shrimps. Star eaters. I have to ask Boss larry for help. As at now, I have not asked him to release his specially trained combat anti star units for help. I will use the anti sterrorists as a last resort. Like the reefers be the front line first.

I use to have these cover every rocks in the tanl when my N03 go up from 0.03 to 15 ppm.

After I run biopellet and volda for one month and NO3 drop back to almost zero these star also thin

out

Last 3 weeks I was too busy to look after my tank I can now see some of them coming back.

Need to check my NO3 again to see if NO3 is the root of this problem

How bout suck them out? Maybe with the aid of a scraper and siphon out the debris as you scrape.

Suck the out ? Any suckers there want to volunteer ?

Ok ok , reefer mjck ( michael jackson ? Just call your name, and you will be there ? ). i know what you mean. Again only 2 problems.

Firstly, I cant double task, not to mention multi task.Too bad , I am made this way. The only time i can do 2 things together is when i sleep and dream.

Actually it is a very difficult thing to do so. I have to bend my body down ( 2.5ft )and my right hand got to do the right thing, that is to brush and the left hand not to do the wrong thing, that is sucking other than the enemies. All the while, right eye got to be on the left hand, and left eye on the right hand. After 5 minutes or so, my right brain has got nothing left, and the left brain nothing right. Add to this, oil will be oozing from my mid section due to the bend.

The worse part is some stars will escape the sucking net, drift to some other corners and start their terror cells again

Thanks, MJ, good but aint good ennuf. So beat it.

Finally, i carried one SEAL, US Army execution. I took a frag of zoas covered with these deadly stars out. I want to scrap them off from outside the tank. Ingenious, so i think.

Horrors ! The stars were all closed up when out of water. They have immersed themselves onto the frags. In short, they seem to have dissappeared. I ended up brushing blindly and put the frag back. Days later the stars opened up on the frag again. Casualties to the stars were minimal, zoas dead body count more. And my eyes and neck strained from this exercise.

Devoid from any more ideas, i turn to you for help.

Keep the suggestion, however crazy they are.

I will try them, yes i will.

cheers

Thanks Sherman. Let me check my NO3. How long did you keep NO3 to zero before it became deadly for the pesty stars? Were there other unintended casualties ?

Was told that other LPS would be affected too.

thanks,

mike

Count Dracula, Lord of darkness, i have tried using laser pointer ( but must admit that i do not know the w ) on a crab and aiptsia. I aimed at the crab's eyes. The eyes got redder and till today, the crab is still in my tank. The crab thanked me for giving him a beautiful redder eyes. As for the aiptsias, they are still there. I waiting for Reefer Joe P to contribute some of his juice to eliminate them.

By the way, my laser is with Dr Ang. If you are in his clinic and see him using a pointer on his corals, know that its bigmike's laser.
