Sucked out the brown jelly crap.... left a bit of tissue. Dipped iodide for 10 mins. Still damn smelly.. can recover or gone case? Don't want to risk it infecting other corals.

Thought I could save it but the brown jelly started spreading again and I've dumped it...

Same thing happened to me with hammer. Once it starts, get rid of affected piece right away. Spreads fast.

You should dump it away immediately if any of this things happen in the future. Or else chances of the rest of your corals being infectedis very high. All your LPS one by one will get the brown jelly.

Then you need a special care of your other plants or things in the tank... Try to get rid of that brown jelly pest and wash your tank with clean water with medicine to protect plants.
