this chiller can only cool a 1ft tank max.

I owned 2 if them, quite an expensive white elephant :)

IMO, good for IQ5 or smiliar size tank but for 1ft, poor chiller must have work very hard liao... :fear: !

IME, I've used it to cool down my 1.5 x 1.5 x 1ft IOS office tank during the weekends when the A/C is switched off, and it is able to achieve less than 28oC. My office is completely enclosed, so it is definitely warmer than our homes (assuming you open your windows), so I'm surprised that it struggles to cool a 1ft cube. What temperature are you guys running your tanks?

this is called Iceprobe. The last I checked, both Reefdepot and Petmart stopped bringing in already. Have to order from USA direct

I used this on IQ3 previous and can reach as low as 23 but IQ5 volume can only reach around 25.

Note: I was using for freshwater previously. Not sure if salt water will corrode the metal probe?

These are hard to find now.

I bought mine about 8yrs ago at a LFS in China, at only US$35 each. I know back then they were selling in US for about US$220 each and locally about S$280.

The China LFS who sold me said that the US company contracted a chinese factory to make these so they are dirt cheap in China...only foreigners will pay $200+ for one
