I have a sump with 4 comparments.

1) Water flows to the sump

2) Protein skimmer

3) Refurigum

4) Return pump to tank.

Question is after water going into the skimmer via the pump, where to send the outlet water (via hose/pipe)??

Into which compartment??

Im soo confused...

lol, i guess different views. i have chaetos in my refugium, and want my nitrates and phosphates to pass through them before being skimmed. that said, i dont think it makes a big difference whether is it skimmer first or refug first.

Quite true. Different views. For my side, i dun want the copepods from the refugium to be skim out by protein skimmer. So go skimmer 1st, refugium then copepods from refugium to return to tank to fish stomach. They re food for the fishes. Anyway, up to individual.

skimmer cant remove nitrates and phosphates. it should be the first filtration after your filter wool. then feed the water into the refugium for your plants.

Tank : 2.5 x1.5 x 2

Skimmer : Bubble Magus NAC3.5

Lighting : Maxspect 110W

Chiller : Hailea 150 @ 27Deg

Salt : TropicMarin
