Question is after water going into the skimmer via the pump, where to send the outlet water (via hose/pipe)?? Into which compartment?? Im soo confused... rudy17 Posted February 15, 2013 Share Posted February 15, 2013 lol, i guess different views. i have chaetos in my refugium, and want my nitrates and phosphates to pass through them before being skimmed. that said, i dont think it makes a big difference whether is it skimmer first or refug first. For my side, i dun want the copepods from the refugium to be skim out by protein skimmer. So go skimmer 1st, refugium then copepods from refugium to return to tank to fish stomach.
