bro Evo, where did you buy your par38. nice

Can check out my thread under equipment.. i did post a link to the ebay seller.

Bro,

Why you using 120 degree lens?

The leds light spread is 120 Degree by itself

Seller told me the leds are 140 degrees.. Anyway i switched to all 3 90 degree and it certainly looks better! meanwhile i've ordered a new light set with 9 x 3 watts (2 Neutral White 5000k, 5 RB (455 - 460nm) and 2 True Violet)

Will update when it arrives!

You should use a combination of 45, 60 and 90 degree lens to cover different height of your tank.

Using only 90 degree can result is a lot of spotlighting effect

6.5 * 2 * 2 + 3.75 * 1.5 *1.5,(Decomn on 14/9/08)
4*2*2 + 2.5*1.25*1.25 (Decomn on 1/8/09)

Update :

Added a pair of True Perc from sealife 3 days ago and 1 went missing the next day.. took out my frag station, and tried to look for every corner i can without having to lift my LR but i just couldn't find it.. Left with one fella who is currently just about to host on a hammer coral.

Added a small Red Mandarin goby today.. Bought from ah beng. Honestly i was just looking at the mandarin housed in the small containers with no intention to buy as i know they are hard to get it to feed. But saw this particular fella flaring and coloring up nicely and appears to be not too skinny so i decided to take the risk. i have seeded the tank with copepods weeks ago and bought another bag today.. my glass tank walls are full of pods!

Lovely mandarin pecking at pods right after dripping and pouring into tank.

2013-03-30173556_zps2e448fe1.jpg

just nice i shifted one small rock on top of 2 to build a small cave yesterday and the mandarin decided this shall be his home.

2013-03-30211127_zps50d37375.jpg

for the past few hours, he's been hanging out around here pecking at pods nearby.

2013-03-30215239_zps2fb9717d.jpg

not too shy to venture out too!

2013-03-30210814_zpsffff56f8.jpg

I've been reading up alot and prepared to train it to eat frozen food.. meanwhile will continue to buy pods too.

Next up,

i've once upgraded my light to another par38 with 9 3W BridgeLux LEDs.

this housing consist of 5 Royal Blue, 2 neutral white (4500k) and 2 violets (405-410nm). The violets really make the corals color pop!

the NW also makes the tank look purplish when combined with the RB.. the violets are barely visible to our eyes.

Currently using with no lenses.. they come equipped with individual lenses.

FTS. Sorry for the purplish shot! its not that purple actually. my phone cant capture it well.

2013-03-30224750_zps6d1b833f.jpg

My frag station. Very interesting to monitor them growing from single polyps.

2013-03-30224755_zps691363e1.jpg

Mohawks! Fastest growing zoas. From 1 frag, now got 3 frags..

2013-03-30224804_zps9a191b52.jpg

Rics garden.

2013-03-30224822_zps3b0bf5d3.jpg

Zoas garden.. Not really meant to be though... they got light shocked when i upgraded to a 7x3watts with lenses attached.. too bright probably as i placed them pretty high previously.. polyps are starting to opening after i shifted them to the ground.

2013-03-30224813_zps9560d234.jpg

GSP on surface skimmer pipe. This coral grows really fast! covering the whole pipe soon.

2013-03-30224828_zps54418aa2.jpg

Planning to add 2 more fishes (week by week)

1 - Yasha goby + Pistol shrimp pair

2 - Tail spot blenny.

Thats all for today!

Well done bro! Amazing "evolution" of your tank  Seems like your LR are growing more coralline now. Soon I think it's my turn to get things from you. I'm eyeing that blue zoa of yours ..lol :P
