SRC Member Evolutionz Posted October 4, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted October 4, 2013 bro side track a bit. how do you do rescaping when the frags area already glue onto your lr? do you take them all out and only paste back after scaping? forgot to tell you just now that its best to blast the rocks with turkey baster or syring before rescaping, and also do it before water change. So after scaping you can do a WC to remove the dirty water. sky007
yes i dont, nor do i suffer from any disco effect. i hang them 17" above water level. SRC Member Evolutionz Posted October 11, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted October 11, 2013 Bro, i realised i hanged my Razor 12 inch above water, most spa bleach and die.. is that low height one of the reasons? 12" above water is already quite tall, most uses the legs which is probably 6" above water. What % did u use? or start using? Razor are ALOT more powerful then it seems, infact most good fixture that uses lenses are much more powerful then it seems. i only set max A:70% and B:100%. and thats increasing slowly 5% Every week from a much lower starting %. spgohjc
Good choice of dimensions. Shallow and wide, very workable tank. Easy access, allows generous placements. A black background brings out the good contrast as well.

SRC Member Evolutionz Posted November 10, 2013 Author SRC Member Share Posted November 10, 2013 Tank's been up for around 7 months now! This post is mainly to record the growth/changes/color of some sps that i gotten from the start and some, few months ago. Some got better, some got worst. Current Parameters : No3 : 10ppm (yes 10, used to be at 2 then went up to 5 and now 10. Strange enough i have much better colors now despite higher nitrate levels) Po4 : 0.03ppm (used to be 0) ca : 400 kH : 7.6 - 8.2 Mg : 1410 Potassium : 400 Lots of SPS photos showing before and after : My first SPS, tri-color Birdnest. was half dead when i got it. went in when tank was only 2 days old. After 7 month growth. and couple times of fragging. growth was really slow at first. it got quick about 3 months ago. Next was this pink birdnest. Growth was ok, pretty fast all the time. Kept for about 6 months Green Bali Slimer. went through a few fragging too. growth is pretty fast. color changed a bit. When i first got it around 3 months ago water condition can be gauged with this sps. months ago when i was constantly rescaping the tank, color dropped till the skeleton was totally white, with green polyps. Now its back to full green. Tri-color Valida. Small frag i got also many months ago. purple came and go.. when i was rescaping, it was brown with green polyps. Base fully encrusted, starting to send shooters out. color is deep purple now. Tri-color valida colony. aquacultured colony. Bought totally brown as an experiment if i can bring back the color. This was taken in august. brown with little purple tips. Deep water acro. bought with a nice intense green. Growth was much faster then expected.. just a short couple of months. Color kind of washed off and gained a little purple to it. a nice teal-green millie. color was pretty dull when i just got it. Now, one of my fav! Everybody's fav is here. Radioactive birdnest. went through many fragging. growth is fast! really nice rose red millie when i first got it. color gradually faded to totally brown color starting to come back now. but really slow. The rest shows some new/latest acquisition Strawberry shortcake frag icy blue tort Blue tenuis red millie Kit kat end with a FTS from about 5-6 months ago. Now : Thanks for viewing and sorry for the pics! Quote EvolutionZ's Floating Reef: (Decommed) EvolutionZ's 4ft shallow Mixed Reef Build :

Kit kat is really nice! but the color probably wont hold for long.
