Depends on the dimensions of your tank. There are calculators online to help you determine the minimum glass thickness you would require.

Do you have any website for the calculator for us to refer? I'm a newbie.. Wish to know more about this too..

10mm is more common for a 3ft tank.

Typical safety factor used is 3.8. Here is a calculator I use.

As Angel Keeper mentioned, minimum is probably 12mm
