Hmm.. Bro.. Why the decision? Biopellets will be helpful for your tank in the long run.
Wah you really camp here 24/7 bro lol. I relook at my sump, the space is really limited. There's no way I can place the reactor before the skimmer compartment unless I get a smaller footprint one in future. Then now the extra space I just put in more liverock and cheato for the time being. Any cheato and pods to spare anyone?

Have added the below livestocks during the weekend. Will upload the pictures soon. Juvenile Emperor Angelfish ( I found the color attractive at the shop but found out tat sometimes it's not very reef friendly, so maybe got to let go once I caught it nipping at my coral) A pair of clownfish ( not sure which strain but it's the cheapest kind) A hammer coral One thing I have noted, there is no trace of any kind of algae that I can see. Not sure if it's a good thing or bad thing now that the tank have already cycled for a month.

The picture of the hammer is taken in blue light. It only shows the neon effect under the blue lights, anybody can advise if it's my camera/light/skill problem? Cos under white light, it's really dull in color.

A little update: All my white rocks have put on a coat of brownish algae, some spots are with green algae some spots are hairy long ones.

Subtraction:

The juvenile Emperor anglefish passed away on Tuesday. Not sure of the reason tho as cannot see any trace of illness. No white spot etc:(

post-23929-0-99441200-1417108016_thumb.j

Addition:

One snail to test the effectiveness of eating algae. Got to say it's power!!

The below picture speaks for itself, the path that snail went past is like machiam using eraser to rub off algae.

Have also added one starfish

One green radioactive birdnest frag and a purple digitata from bro Siowaro

One bubble coral from GO - selected by my OC

Hey bro, good to see your tank coming on nicely. The algae is part and parcel of any new tank. Just add more snails and they will get the job done. Its ok to overload the tank with more snails. As the algae decreases, can give them away to someone else who needs it. Thats what i did

Can also consider adding more cheato to encourage more nutrient absorption and lesser nuisance algae growth in main tank.

Can also consider starting to run both carbon and phosphate remover to improve water clarity and condition. Ultraphos or rowaphos will do a great job.

Nice to have your encouragement bro. Actually I'm reading up on the topic on algae scrubber, hopefully able to setup one soon. :)

Those clowns should be common clowns (Ocellaris clowns). Nice to see them paired up nicely. :)
Ya they are very cute, always like to swim together. But they never host my hammer coral :(
