Some of you wanted to see my setup so here it goes

Last couple of weeks was spent doing up my 6 footer So have no time to update

Decommed my 3 ft Tank on 6 November Thursday . Took one whole day to transfer all livestock and clear before it exited out of my house at night.

Next morning Friday, here comes the tank.

Whole setup by Aquarium Artist.

This is my 3ft before decomm

Anyway Friday night was spent arranging the rockwork

Sat morning, here comes the water and sand by Iwarna

For those of you using water drums, using a trolley like the one on the left is very useful... Especially for big drums like 60l and 120l.. For Easy transport

So the whole Sat 8 Nov was spent transferring the livestocks from holding tank to New tank.

The doors were only ready one week later

Nice rimless reef tank..r u running 2 skimmers? :-)

Something to note, ur filter sock got no holder n it too high up beyond ur sump tank height. water might overflow out if the filter sock get choked. Go diy a cover to cover the filter sock as there is water mist when water & air flow down..

Cheers and happy reefing

Ok dun see the need to run 2 skimmers..waste electricity, produce more heat, need to clean 1 more skimmer..as for the filter sock, avoid the mouth of the sock from protruding out of the tank..u won't know when water might overflow out..btw, can share what return pump u using? :)

Nice tank! Agreed, can skip the small skimmer, and lower the height of filtersock. Filtersock overflow is very common and happens to me all the time, but since mine is way below the sump height, just overflows back to sump.

Keep the sump simple. And u will have much easier time cleaning it, and visually more pleasing for yourself.

Nice FTS ,SIS.

One skimmer more then enough.

And be careful of filter sock overflow.

Hi Powder Tang

Just to check, there seems to be only 1 center beam in the front of the cabinet stand. Is there any center beam at the back portion of the cabinet? Would that be a cause for concern in the long run? Just asking, I may be wrong cos I am not an engineer.

No there isn't any centre beam at the back and it's mainly covered at the back so not necessary I think Front centre Beam is for support due to the opening for the doors

Hi ,

Your tank is 6fts long, can the 4 corner beams support the whole weight?
