Good day! My name is Jarrett, but I go commonly by the nick of tofubox. I would like to thank SRC for nominating my tank, and allowing me to share my passion for marine tanks with everyone here. I’ve been reefing for about 5 years now, starting off with Soft corals, LPS, Fowlr, Nano, and finally down to SPS corals in this 125 gallon tank. Throughout this hobby, I’ve went through plenty of ups and downs, both good and frustrating moments, but nonetheless I’ve enjoyed every moment of it. I thank everyone for their support and may we continuously make this hobby a fun and interesting one!

Some personal Q & A questions

1. How long have you been reefing?

Ans: 5 years

2. How did you get into this hobby?

Ans: I started off keeping shrimps and freshwater and soon got bored of it. Decided to try something new, so i started my first marine tank in 2010.

3. Are you a fish guy or a Coral guy?

Ans: I’m both a fish and coral guy!

4. Any dream fish or coral you wish to own one day ?

Ans: Currently do not have any in mind, but hope one day I can keep a tank full of anthias and staghorn corals

5. What is your main concern when looking around for your reefing equipment?

Ans: Reliability is my main concern!

6. What is your favorite past time

Ans: Besides looking at the tank mostly, I enjoy doing outdoor sports.

7. What is the satisfaction you got from this hobby?

Ans: My greatest satisfaction is seeing my corals grow and colour up. This hobby can sometimes get really frustrating, but it pays off well end of the day when everyone at home enjoys a beautiful tank.

8. Any advice you have for newbie in this hobby?

Ans: Do read up on the livestock you are planning on purchasing or keeping. Bear in mind, every livestock has its own needs and requirements, try your best to cater to them, and you will be rewarded with a long lasting healthy specimen.

What did you gain from this hobby ?

Ans: I made a lot of new friends from all walks of life.

Lastly, I would like to thank my family and my partner who has been very supportive of this hobby. Also a very close friend who had introduce me zeovit system and chiong LFS with me, couldn’t have done it without him.
