understand our Pasar Malam can be one way, just thought of there is any shop out there buys in fish tank and then re-sell them out to hobbyist besides our forum?

like cash converter etc. :D

Also curious if there is such a shop, will people be keen to visit and buy from them? :D

For tank it is almost no resale value , the bigger it is the less value it is due to transportation and resetup cost etc. .. for equipments it would be interesting since everyone want to save money.

Is good to reuse .... I do know lfs that sell second hand product but the point of buying first hand is further life time value and warranty ;)

I agree with Euphillia. Second hand tanks are usually quite worthless. Typically once the tank gets beyond 3ft, the seller has to literally beg people to remove. I think online is still a good platform. However, LFS with extra space can definitely , on goodwill, accept some second hand stuff from their loyal clients and resell it.

Just my 2 cents worth.

2nd hand shop is just like middle man.. They take in cheap and marked up and sell to earn some profit. Ppl tends to send directly as to reduce the price cut by shop and buy directly as to prevent mark up by shop. Since there are so many channel for us to buy and sell directly, why do we need a middle man. Just that sometime it get frustrated when ppl aeroplane u..

Is a good idea!

My friend opens a use golf equipment shop

He is the first to do so.

Now he is the biggest in Singapore!

Many will think this elitist won't buy secondhand stuffs, how wrong it was.

Even the Expat Japs and Ang Mo goes there!

Now he is attracting tourist!

Open and I will be your supporter!

It's a good idea but only for people who need to see and test equipment before buying. Sometimes you can't do that when buying off others because everyone has a different style. Some treat other hobbyist as customers, some treat as friends, others don't have time to entertain. But tanks will be a problem due to storage issues. Maybe just limit to portable equipment
