Hi,

Wanted to know what are the possible causes for my chalice, enchinata, bali brain and lobo all showing some skeleton or residing at the edge of the coral. All zoanthids sps and other LPS are doing fine..parameters are sg 1.026, 26 degrees, kh 7.7, cal 445, mg 1380 but no3 po4 not tested...

Try getting PO4 tested? High PO4 will directly inhibit calcification, but I'm not so sure if it can cause tissue recession.

What's your feeding & WC schedules like? Spotted any nocturnal pests having a munch?

If ur nutrients too low, it will cause fleshy lps to recede even when u feed them weekly. Cos I think they need a constant supply of food. This is base on my own experience.

What u can try now is maybe feed ur lps more often. See whether there's any improvement. Also chk ur no3. If less than 5ppm then maybe too low for ur lps.
