Just thought I'd share with everyone here who hasn't heard of aquaforest. Well, many of you guys already know what is a probiotic system which involves adding a carbon source and dosing bacteria periodically to achieve ultra low nutrients. This makes corals pastel and subsequently coral additives are added to increase the corals colours making them richer and more vibrant. Sounds like a lot of work but really it only takes 2 mins every night before you sleep or every morning just before heading to work. Let me start by introducing the aquaforest line.

Bacteria source: Pro Bio S

Carbon source: Pro F or NP Pro (biopolymers)

That's basically the 2 main parts of the probiotic line. Next is additives

Coral A: Concentrated amino acids for richer coral colour development

Coral B: Its calcium carbonate thats finely grinded and mixed into a solution. Enhances coral growth as they absorb it and increases skimming ( something like KZ coral snow but much cheaper )

Coral V: Viramins for the corals which works hand in hand with Coral A

Coral E: Coral dietary supplement with copper sulphate added to strip excess zooxanthelle.

AND THATS ALL!

Personally i have used Zeovit and Fauna Marin and i can say they work very well helping me achieve quite decent results but after switching to aquaforest my colours really started popping. The added benefit of AF is the affordability, its much cheaper than Fauna Marin and Zeovit.

Here is some of my results

225fba309a0a16b7f59c92c92062316a.jpg this was a loripes frag i got from GO that was really browned out. I was using Zeovit at this stage and i saw decent growth but the frag was still brown. I was able to bring out the purple tips though

53ca11cd875b1c745aae6dd81cc08068.jpg this is when i transitioned from Zeovit to Fauna Marin. Growth was still there but i found that Fauna Marin stripped the water of too much nutrients and hence the loripes has a white body with lost its purple tips

62988ab0c208333c76fc81a65f0341e7.jpg Here it is now. I'm really impressed by the colouration but i find that growth is still pretty much the same. The loripes is currently 1.5 years old in my tank.

Just thought I'd share with everyone here my results that im really impressed with. Every reef tank has its ups and downs but with proper care and tweaking everything will turn out right in the end. I'm not paid to do this neither am i working with or even affiliated with aquaforest in anyway. Im just showing everyone a cheaper alternative that has similar or even better results than the probiotic giants.

Af is really amazing. Within 1 week of dosing probio s the polyp extension of my sps became multiple times longer. And that was before i dosed any other additives.

If youre not completely sold on AF just try probio s. I guarantee you it will blow your mind and make your sps extremely healthy and happy. Thanks for reading

As i'm still a newbie, cost is always a concern but if i were to get all of the above, how much are we looking at? Mayb u can pm me or better still, lets share this with the rest... TIA

Monthly cost average out is much cheaper compared most brands there are.

basic kit would be 

 

pro bio S 50ml 35

np pro 50ml 35

Coral ABVE 35 each 

 

And your good to go :D Dosage is 1drop 100L and 1ml is 16drops so 50ml can serve 80000 L of water!

Must try their  probio salt. 

I start with their probio salt after I exhaust my Red Sea Pro.

3 days after I change to AF salt I have a shock.

 

This piece was brown (In my tank for at least  6 months)  then it start to show blue.

The blue one is just the salt. 

Then one month later I start NP Pro and Bio Pro S. 

Because my AIO no more stock

Is it really so miracle like you said ? I think the salt and supplement is only part of a healthy tank. If you don't have a good lighting, and your tank nutrient is high , would you still achieve such good coloration? I doubt so...

Funny comment you have, if one don't have good lighting and good ways of exporting nutrients, how will one has a healthy tank in the first place? Of coz no matter what you use also no result if you can't even fulfill the basic requirements. But then your definition of a healthy tank may be different from mine.

If you have the best light system and nutrient export system but you try to use any cheap salt I think 

soon all the problem will come out.
