Started this tabletop marine tank a few days ago and have added in some lava rock, red bamboo algae and some sea grass and a chromis. ☺

Any idea what to put inside once the cycling is done? I'm thinking about a mandarin but I'm not sure if some chaeto and support a pod population

Interesting choice of rocks. Those are lava rocks aren't they? How did you solve the buoyancy problem?

Most of them just sunk straightaway and the rest that did not, i glued them to the others. But they're pretty porous so the water that got inside them helped alot too !

Love the concept :)
It's probably best to buy mandarin that is already feeding on frozen food or so. There are some available from time to time.

Btw, would you share where to get sea grass?
