jackalcleo
Hi, Have a stable FOWLR now but it seems that whenever I add new livestock it always end up with cloudy eyes. After that the entire eyes just "gone" and can see the socket and eventually RIP. The rest of the fishes are fine with no problem. Any similar experience?? SRC Member Angel Keeper Posted September 28, 2017 SRC Member Share Posted September 28, 2017 My tank has the same problem previously... Lowering the nitrate helps... So I dose NOPOX... Mine is a FOWLR as well... Also, clearing the tank of particles seem to help as well... Guess some form of irritants?Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Trustfade
Try adding in sand will help to bring down the nitrate. Maybe it can help. Though i dun have this issue with fishes but i got issue with 🦐 when even i add in they will die within days. angel fish
Cloudy eyes usually infected by flukes from my experiences especially with new fishes. Fishes will try to rub their cheeks against rocks frequently to dislodge the flukes.Try 5 mins dechlorinated fresh water bath then examine bath water for whitish flakes which are burst flukes due to osmotic effect. More effective way to eradicate flukes is to dose with praziquentel but not to be used with any tube worms though.
