SRC Member daveyy Posted May 23, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted May 23, 2018 Hahaha. But good diy la. Anw how is your review on the xr15? Providing enough spread and intensity for your tank? I’m also interested in getting the same led but was wondering if 1 could cover the width of 30inch as mine is 60 x 30 x 24 inches, want to use 4. In a straight row. SRC Member daveyy Posted May 23, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted May 23, 2018 They are from a reefer who has since decom If u have frag a few polyp do let me know. Im keen in them! Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
SRC Member MarCal Posted May 23, 2018 Author SRC Member Share Posted May 23, 2018 I am extremely happy w the lightings. It is at 50% intensity n my corals are happy. I am also able to see some growth in them. Coverage is more than enough for my small n shallow tank, at a height of 10” above water. I did not do any par measurements. Ur tank is so much bigger. I think u may need the XR30w Pro?
SRC Member daveyy Posted May 23, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted May 23, 2018 I didnt wanna get the xr30 as i will be restricted by how many i can set within the span of the rail, if i have 4, i still can shift them around Thanks for the advice. Guess i will pull the trigger , if shadowing is still a issue on my wide tank, i will get t5 supplements on the sidesSent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

SRC Member Jeebusai Posted May 23, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted May 23, 2018 Ur lagoon is very nice. I’m sure ur bigger tank will be even nicer. Saw the sun coral. 2 types of GSP right. I have the one on ur left. Taking forever to grow. Seems like the one on the right grows much faster. Ur going to keep 2 tanks?

Not sure if right thing to do. For my case, tank may be new. But some cleaning up, lights off for 1-2 days and less dosing and they are gone. Now my lights are at only 30-50%. Don’t even dare to use any green and red and also very little white light. Until it stabilises. Trying very hard not to dose any thing. Especially no pox. Heard that’s it’s very effective but can be deadly if overdose. Let me know if it works. Lol.

SRC Member MarCal Posted June 27, 2018 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 27, 2018 Last night, decided to transfer my Scopas Tang n Yellow Coris over fr my Lagoon. Scopas Tang ( my gem ) is so hardworking. Clear quite a lot of algae especially those on corals. So tangful to my Gem. Wanted to switch off lights for 2 days but looking at how hard my Gem worked, I switched them on before end of 2 days. Lets see how things go fr here.
