I always love to own a Vortech pump. It’s the design that draws lots of attention. Costly it is... but i heard Jebao quality is not there yet.

My own experience with a RW4, I had seen rust at the controller power input and the magnet inside the tank fall off while carrying out maintenance. The Magnet also leave behind a faint mark on the tank glass. :(

That’s what I thought too bro. Definitely the quality of the plastics used is no where near the MP. But do give the OW series a try lol. It’s definitely worth the price.

And I learnt the hard way. Don’t dare to adjust anything on my phone with Reeflink on ecotech app. It will just go haywire and I have to reinstall. The pitfalls of being too high tech when I can just adjust using a few buttons. Lol

Bought this dual nozzle. Quite expensive for a piece of Plastic printed by a 3D printer....

Slowly changing to AF. The dosage needed is really small as the additives are highly concentrated. Couples with current promo the prices are really affordable (no brainer). Don’t know if it’s ProBioS helping to bring the NO3 down or is it my chaeto (growing fast and given a few batches away already). Sps corals are slowly coloring up finally. The Aussie candlelight which I got 2 months ago is finally half a “candlelight” and not a brown stick (although still half brown.

No ID cheap sps encrusted and growing after 2 months.

What is the top-up tank resting on? Can be heavy when filled.

This is how it looks for new reefer 250. This pic was taken when I first started. I don’t use it though. I do MTO.

Hi guys, need some inputs. Should I do a rescape or just decomm and reset the tank? Current rock scape is pretty cramped for my liking. Tried My hand at making it a mixed reef. Current rock work is pretty tough with either too much flow or light for certain corals. Since tank is still young, i personally think this is the time to make it right.

What are your thoughts. All feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

It’s been quite a few months since I update this thread. Quick summary : Rescape was done and there was a mini crash after I switch additives. Lost a few fishes to ick due to aggression by my yellow tang. Things are back to normal and I have sold the tang away. The yellow tang and clarkii clown survived though they were covered with ick and even had cloudy eyes. Miraculously, they survived! Bought a kole tang, thought they are more mild. I was wrong. It hit on the flame hawk the moment the flame hawk hit the tang. And this time the kole tang is Too fast to catch and the trap didn’t work.

Here are Some pics. The sps are growing pretty well and coloring up (finally). RBTA split into 2.

FTS will come later as the quaroche rock is white and Carib Sea rock is purple.... Tak match....LOL

This is the only pic I can find of my new tank sump layout!!! All ones I've seen pipework goes to righ hand side. How does the filter sock actually realistically work?! Every one I've ever known the return pipe goes into the sock!!! Floating with no pipe I just cant see what good it does lol.
