Pellet inclined anthias

Recommended Posts

In my experience,  Randall's anthias takes pellet readily. But what matters most is the size of the pellet,  as well as the odour.

So far,  my pellet eating anthias are: evansi,  carberryi,  borbonious,

Tuka and pascalus pecks at pellets. But they are too small for me to be 100% sure.

My 2pcs of Sunburst Anthias take only Mysis Shrimp, not interested in dry food.

Purple queen is one of the hardest. Sunburst, sunset , etc are shy type and are hard unless tank dont have agressive fish. Barlett, blue eye, etc are almost always ready for pellet.

Randall's yes.

The rest need to entice them first with mysis, pod,  fish egg etc. If they starve too much before eating pellet then it may be too late.

My blue eyed anthias ate TDO C1 pellets readily... when i bought them they werent feeding on pellets.... point to note, anthias have very small mouths, so they need very small pellets... C1 size is the smallest available pellet size i think
