Tyler Sim
Hey guys, I have been dosing Aquaforest Components 123 to raise Ca, Alk and Mg. On the first 2 days of dose, there is clear consumption as alk drops, however, after 2 days, the alk raised from 9 to 12. I assume there is no consumption. Any ideas guys? Juan
Measure alkalinity at the same time each day is a good practice and I believe heavy carbon dosing and adding a lot of bio pellets at once can also raise alkalinity based on my experiences
SRC Member expat-reefer Posted September 11, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted September 11, 2018 Link below is for BRStv video explaining the relationship between alkalinity, calcium and magnesium in reef tanks. Video covers the chemistry in an easy to understand explanation. Enjoy. If the link doesn’t work, search for “brstv week 29” on YouTube.Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
