Zacked10
Hi reefers! I just bought my tank and it’s been Cycling for about one week. So basically it’s only water, salt mix and live sand. My tank is an IOS tank. No filter media yet. No live stocks. I checked the refractometer, it’s on the slightly lower side.. say 1.024. If I needed to add more salt, how do I do it? Should I add to water first? Or directly to the tank. I’m concerned because if it’s mixed with the live sand, could it be completely dissolved? Advice please.. thank you!Ps. My tank is measuring at 60cm x 30cm x 35cm. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
thanos
Just scoop some water out of ur tank, put inside a pail n mix with salt..start with small amount of salt first..pour back the mixture into ur display tank..repeat if neccessary until u get the desired salinity. SRC Member Indeco Posted September 28, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted September 28, 2018 Salinity not much of a concern, u should focus more on your ammonia and nitrite as your tank is small.
