SRC Member jasonpoh Posted June 6, 2019 SRC Member Share Posted June 6, 2019 Yes! I bought 1 rock few months back for $20....and it has no less than 300 polyps...If the shop had asked for $10 per polyp... It would be $3k... Than it becomes unaffordable for me Agreed.. which explains why the range of prices for things in this hobby is all over the place. I remember buying a whole rock full of red people eater zoas at coral farm for $20 but seeing some people sell them at the same price for a frag of 3 polyps.. so you’re absolutely right. Was quoted $20 each only... And I still had cheek to say "3 for $50 lar"... Shop accepted my blue note... Sorry not sorry. Fake kind samaritans. You guys feel unjust and that it’s a crime to do so to pick something up and sell them. When nobody wants to do it. I see that you have picked quite a handful? Since you guys are saints acting self righteous. Do something charitable and give some to those people who don’t have time or those who needs help to pick up some extra mangroves Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app Did you just accuse me of being a fake kind Samaritan? Before you jump to assumptions, the truth is I was helping my friends pick up shoots for their tanks. I already have enough. I was just using the opportunity to educate new reefers. Now they have an option to harvest their own or buy from other reefers. And I have no idea how this got linked to people profiteering from zoas. Its not like you can pick free zoas off the beach.
