DIY Piping for Tank

For those keen in doing your own tank piping and thinking of buying it from TaoBao, the image below is very useful. Remember to check if it’s China spec, UK spec, US spec or Japan spec. You can buy adapter / converter if needed.

 

During my planning / learning phase, I paid a few school fees to buy and try and fit.

 

When I am done, I will share my completed project but till then, this is what I have gotten so far!

thanks for sharing some other options to acquire piping for diy purposes via online delivery. for the past couple of years i’ve been get most of mine from tropical fish farm @ pasir ris farmway(not recently due to cb closure though).

Hi Sherilyn.
What pipe size do you use for your tank...
My current is 32mm for overflow and return...
I’m planning to reduce the new one to 25mm for overflow and 20mm for the return..
My tank size is 4 x1.8 x2.

Tank : 3 x 2 x 1.8 ( setup end Feb 2014 ) --> 4 x 2 x 1.8 ( setup early Nov 2016 )
Skimmer : Bubble Magus NAC6 --> Bubble Magus Curve 7
Return pump : Jebao 10000l/h ( down in 17th December 2014 ) --> Jebao DC-12000 ( 19th December 2014 )
Compressor drop-in coil
Wavemaker : Tunze 6105 x 1
Lights : Modular based DIY LED light x 4

Chaeto in the sump
