SRC Member ianmphua Posted July 17, 2020 SRC Member Share Posted July 17, 2020 Hi, i’m looking to buy a tank. Thinking of getting a 4x2x2 ft but i’m unsure of what thickness of glass to go for. Can anyone suggest the minimum thickness so as to prevent the bowing of glass in the long run. Thanks! SRC Member zander Posted July 17, 2020 SRC Member Share Posted July 17, 2020 12mm is quite safe. 10mm is ok...there are online calculators which help you judge Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

SRC Member coralclams Posted August 3, 2020 SRC Member Share Posted August 3, 2020 12 mm to be safe and whether u doing rimless or with bracing. If rimless better go for 12 and above. If with bracing 10-12 shud be safe Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
SRC Member Evolutionz Posted August 3, 2020 SRC Member Share Posted August 3, 2020 10mm is a big nono, 422 braced would be 12mm, rimless you'll likely need 15mm. Unless you do 120x60x45 (h) cm, den 12mm may be possible.
