SRC Member mUAr_cHEe Posted November 22, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted November 22, 2010 is there like a rule of thumb or a gauge of how much wattage LED = how much wattage MH? SRC Member BFG Posted November 23, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted November 23, 2010 The rule of thumb I am aware of about led is to get the 3w per led for our aquarium use. Maxspect however has a table of what model of their led light set is similar to the output of mh.

SRC Member christan1959 Posted March 18, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted March 18, 2015 Hi hi anyone on this thread still around? Just converted to MH (odyssea) and having difficulty sourcing for 159w DE bulbs. Most stockists don't carry already, since most reefers using LED nowadays. But I still believe in MH, but I don't like the colour rendition of my current bulb - it kills the pinK and blues in the tank. Appreciate any help... SRC Member christan1959 Posted March 18, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted March 18, 2015 Tks bro. They all either no longer stock the bulbs or have old stock that don't seem to be in good condition.
