i think most of us would only consider decom either due to money and time.

i feel that this hobby can really take up a lot time such that we might accidentaly neglect our family, but if we can manage our time and know our piority well... we can enjoy this wonderful hobby until maybe the M factor is an issue :D

well, i do know a reefer who decom due to health reasons. something like back strain or something like that.

2x1.5x1.5 tank

for me now it is just either to close and decomm completely or not it is a single FOWLR tank with the simplest basic skimmer/lights setup so that you only need to top up water and feed fishes BECAUSE anything else simply takes too much money and time.

?? 2 yrs + thread popped up for no reason :o

Because its a voting thread.. as long as someone clicks on the vote, it will go up..

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

"Its easier to blame the 'mantis' or crabs in the tank for missing & dead livestocks.."

This is sitting in a slow moving sub-forum.. 2 years thread but its probably still in the first page.. maybe thats why.. I don't think anyone will flip through 5 pages back of really old threads..

You cannot quit this hobby. Once a reefer, always a reefer. New challenging job becomes stressful job, new sexy girlfriend becomes boring naggy wife, young cute children become rebellious kids. All these come and go, but reefing is forever refreshing and enjoyable. It gives you high when someone compliments your tank.

These young reefers who are giving up now, i see their comeback, in a big way, when they are their 50s.

just like me..haha...reef on

cannot quit la u since now u not really free to chiong add bacteria and allow the tank to mature during ur busy period then when u free

wa la can add shoik stuff le

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.
