Idea 1 - keep the amount of equipment to the minimum. less equipment, less power used.

i wonder will anything happen during that 1hour..

You may choose to switch off all except the main filter pump.

2011 Earth Hour. Tomorrow (26 March 2011) from 20:30 onwards.

This year's theme is "Go Beyond The Hour". Switch off electrical devices for longer than 1 hour if possible and generally be more environmentally conscious to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Use Algae scrubber light on during night time. 12 to 6pm (Depends on your lighting needs)

This helps to light up your house. And this will reduce the need to on any ceiling lights, in the middle of the night.

If you are working, avoid turning light on during morning/afternoon.

Use timer to better manage lights on-off scheduling.

These work for me. Lets work together to help save our mother earth!

Also to add on;

ITs not only during earth hour yearly;

WE must do our part by reducing the usage of Plastic material products. - such as plastic bags used to contain the coral or fishes.

This can be achieved by the following actions;

- Bring your own containers to LFS

- Return the plastic bags to LFS everytime you visit them.

- Bring along non-plastic Bag to carry your purchase home.

- Car pool, maximising the number of reefers in your car when visiting LFS.

Every little effort by individual does make a difference in long run.
