Hi brothers & sisters,

Would like to check, how do you frag zoas?

Is it just by cutting the mid-portion of a polyp and stick it with coral glue on a coral?

Hope to get advise from you. :ThanxSmiley:

you do not need a face mask. but remember to watch out for zoanthids squirting, and make sure nto to look directly at them. they can squirt water and the toxins in the zoanthids can cause blindness.

normally, if it's a big rock, just take a screwdriver, put between some polyps and hammer. it will break the rock.

don't cut the polyps in half. cut between the polyps

AND make sure don't tear them apart if you failed to break the rock apart initially, it may tear into the polyps and will slowly die from that polyps onwards... happy fragging....

Hi guys,

Bought a plug of zoas recently, so any idea how to transfer it to a bigger rock? And must it be live rocks or can a dead rock do it?

Thanks.

It can be on dried rocks or anything. You will need to glue it incase if u got bigger fish that will knock over it.

Reefing is sharing. People with rotten mouth is sure a loser for life as expected. When a tomato gets rotten, you can nvr save it.. Throw it away before it infect the good ones.
