Carbon will remove chlorine in the water as well. Yes , I think adding the anti chlorine before the filter will help extend the di lifespan in certain extent, although we can't measure it. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

I am using both hydra and HD like you as well and it is very trouble some to program both but the good thing is you can save the setting file and just transfer over.
