  1. And how long you had it open? Thanks
  2. Nice zoa gardens. The colours are showing nicely. Dose any additives?
  3. My snail and sand dollar both rubbish. My sand all got algae.
  4. I do notice a slight difference when I started dosing iodide. Color boost a bit. Just a bit. But I've got brown algae outbreak. Read somewhere iodide overdose may cause brown algae.
  5. Thanks for the article comy, Having a bit of cyno problem lately and same as meng, nitrates and phosphate are low. Time for a new carbon.
  6. Just what I needed.
  7. Swee la bro. But I can still see more LR. How's your brown algae doing?
  8. Wah. So many you put. I tested mine twice a week for the first 3 weeks. All the best.
  9. Skimmer went bonkers again. Too much bubbles and nothing skimmed. I've added more carbon and changes filter wool. Hope that helps.
  10. Cleaned Mr Skimmer this morning. And I found sticky residue inside. Took a while to clean it. But it's working now and nice thick foam is forming around the cup. I think I'm done with epoxy. Either I use it out of the water or its superglue all the way.
  11. That's nice to hear. And it'll make my life slightly easier. Thanks.
  12. Thank you sir. Hopefully I don't have to strip it apart and put it back together. But I had a strong feeling I might just have to. We'll see tomorrow.
  13. Yah I heard before it may crash your tank. This thing is nasty in a way. But just wondering, would superglue gel works if I'm just sticking small frags to my LR?
  14. Yeah I did read some but not all of it. I guess it must be that white powdery substance that clouds the water that was making my skimmer go woozy. My skimmer must have OD on that thing. It's almost 4 days now and he's still seeing stars. But thanks all. I'll try your method if he's not awake by tomorrow.
  15. I used some epoxy on Saturday. Just sticking 2 corals to my liverock. My skimmer (MCE300) went totally nuts afterwards. It was bubbling excessively and won't skim at all. Its been like that since. I googled and it seems I'm not alone. But just wondering wether it has happened to anyone here. And for how many days usually would the skimmer goes back to normal? And what else can I do in the meantime? Would water change help?
  16. I've been toying with that idea as well. You can DIY an overflow pipe. Like this... DIY overflow pipe The JBJ IOS at the back will act as an overflow box and the pipe uses the siphon method. This is actually workable. If the return pump is stopped water will simply stop flowing to the IOS and the flow stops. When the pumps are up again the water will flow back to the IOS and into the pipe and the siphon will continue.
  17. No problem bro, anytime. Just gimme a buzz.
  18. Hey Bro. Thanks for taking the time to explain to me about the mp10. Glad I went the ES route. This thing rocks man. Its more complicated than I thought but the auto tune function is just awesome. Mine came with old model manual, so was a bit lost. But manage to download the manual from their website and I'm getting there. Thanks for the recommendation.
  19. My PH rises from 8.0-8.2 region to 8.6 when I first had the MCE300. So I believe your MCE600 is the contributing factor. Its back to ard 8.4 now after 2 water changes.
  20. No, its still one driver per pump. If i'm not wrong, the ES models comes with better drivers and you can auto tune the wave size and wave frequency. Not sure what that actually means. But in order to utilise fully the EcoSmart Nutrient Transport Mode and the Tidal Swell Mode, I believe you need 2 units or more, both driver and pump. to work together. One as a master and one as slave. Imagine having 2 MP10 on both side of your tank working together. Nice!
  21. Thanks bro. Yah the mp10w ES is really tempting but I read somewhere you need 2 or more pumps to make full use of the EcoSmart modes. Not much reviews on the ES models. Got to research more on this.
