  1. Hey bro, nice tank you got there. jus wondering how did u put the iceprobe into your HOB filter??
  2. So guys, another thing...... The same method applies when I do filter maintenance n cleaning in future, right?? Can i add in new biohomme or filter media (both rinsed with my old seawater) ??
  3. Hey guys, Thanx for the reply. Will do as wat u guys suggested Yeah I do hv Seio wavemaker in my tank, so its ok to leave the tank filterless for a few minutes while i change to a new filter??
  4. Hi reefers, Could anyone please shed some light on this skimmer - setup, usage n operation?? Tried using this skimmer in my nano tank but apparently got loads of micro-bubbles in my tank, overflow of water or waste in the collection cup. No matter how I tried to adjust the air inlet, it still the same. Even change the water outlet to the supplied sponge outlet....still the same. Haiizzzzzzz So i decided to take it out n not use it. Thought of other protein skimmer but for a simple nano tank w/o sump do I need skimmer as I do WC 10%-20% weekly. Please help n many thanx!!
  5. Hello reefers, I'm in need of help. Just came back to Marine aquarium for abt 3months after a super long hiatus. Had start up a simple FOWLR nano tank using Jebo Hang-On filter with surface skimmer. Only recently around 5-7days ago, I started to notice my Hang-On filter behaving funnily. The motor tends to stop suddenly and I hv to kinda knock or shake on the motor for it to start up again. Having check all connections, it looks secure n came to a conclusion that my Hang-On filter is spoilt. Now comes the problem: 1) Is it ok to jus change to a new Hang-On filter and jus transfer the biohome n filter media(washed n cleaned) to the new filter?? 2) Do I need to start cycling process again due to the new Hang-On filter?? 3) Since I do not hv a spare tank, will it affect my LS (2x common clown, 1x six-lined wrasse, 1x cleaner shrimp n 1x turbo snail) during the change-over or cleaning of the new Hang-On filter in future?? Appreciate all constructive (or un-constructive) inputs and advices from anyone......afterall I'm here to re-learn everything
  6. Simple and nice. I've got almost the same tank as u but mine is with more clustered live rocks, 3 clown, 1 cleaner shrimp, 1 turbo snail, 1 six-line wrasse n 1 yellow goby
  7. hey fabian, jus wondering what did u put inside ur atman canister??
  8. Hi atreef, Thanx for the offer but 2.5ft is a bit too big. looking for 2ft sump.
  9. Thanx Ppl. For all the opinions given, I say thank you very much. I guess using gravity method is much easier the using a pump considering all the pros and cons. Thanx again bros & sis.........
  10. Hi Odi, Looking for a 2footer sump. BTW, how much r u selling ur sump for?? Pls PM me for the details. Thanx
  11. Hi all, Happen to read thru this topic, sounds interesting. I would love to join u guys on the course if u all dun mind but I hv a question that needs to be answered by some of the qualified instructors that reads this topic: I've already took up Padi OW course in mid 1996 in Cairns and hv since stopped diving in early 1998. Between these time, I only managed to go diving about 4times. My question is: 1) Is my license still valid to go diving since it is about close to 6 years since I last dived?? 2) Do I need to juz go for the refresher course to revalidate my license?? 3) Or do I actually need to take up the course all over again?? Pls advise........ Thanx
  12. Hi all Isit possible to use a submersible filter or p/head to pump out the water from the main tank to the sump instead of siphon, I-box or other thing?? I read somewhere on the net that it can be used but I can't confirm with the person using it about the pros and cons.... So I seek the opinions of u guys and gals about it . Pls share any ideas or opinions about it, thanx!!
