  1. But a aquabee 5000 is 5000 lt/hr, comparing it with a 2400lt/hr or 3400 lt/hr pump in terms of price is
  2. Very good review, hope to get some more updates.
  3. The differentiation between good and bad T5 tubes are not the PAR they give out when you fire them. Most tubes will probably give similar illumination/intensity during the FIRST HOURS OF FIRING. The true differenting factor is how long can they maintain the illumination/intensity. Aquaz T5 might have been demonstrated to promote growth for a period of time. The key question is how long can the tube sustain the growth. My personal experience is that I find that the Aquaz tube don't last very long (not longer than 3 months) and it seems that I am not the only person who has similar experience. I don't agree that it is more economical to use Aquaz tubes even though they are 1/3 the price of the others. I will have to change the tubes every 3 months and the price will be comparable, not to mention the trouble I have to go through changing the tubes. I also don't agree that all cars can reach point B. I don't think I can rely on candle light to grow SPS, can I? And as for the comment on colouration and asking the corals about what they prefer is ridiculous. It is like asking: does the sun prefers to rise from the east. Zhuang Zi has already pointed out centuries ago that this is a ridiculous comment and an endless argument. We should not waste time on it.
  4. Just go get one at $99 with free media some more. What more do you want?
  5. Why don't you get the solite set from AM or Irwana (Not sure if any other LFS carry them)? The price is pretty decent and the performance is acceptable.
  6. I thought these tubes are not available in the market anymore? As previously claimed by one of the sponsors? Guess another sales gimmick...
  7. Wow it is getting interesting here. Maybe i share abit on my part regarding the charts. I posted my queries on the differences earlier, but it was also deleted. Thereafter i recieved a pm from Mr DE saying he will check with the distributor and get back to me. This is the respond thru PMl.......so much about responsible Sole Distributor. QUOTE QUOTE by Mr DE Hi Bro, Pls call the manufacture and ask if there are the ones that supply me with the chart. Cause they are the only company that are distributing this tubes world wide. DE Lightings are the sole distributor of this Aqua Science tubes in Singapore and who can we plot the chart ourself? Why dont u call me to clarify... QUOTE by me Ok but i think your reason of deleting the post is still not valid...i've compared the chart of the manufacturer and the chart by your supplier. The red and green spectrum shown has 20% difference in the intensity. This is exactly the selling point you are highlighting. I'm very disturbed by it, because you are providing false information to boost your sales. Hope you can give me a satisfactory answer and not try to brush it off with the supllier thingy. QUOTE by Mr DEIts not so good to tell everyone the source from when i get it from . Yes, i get from them and this is what they supply me with. its a good tubes. call me to discuss if necessary 97525051 QUOTE QUOTE by Mr DE let me check and get back to you on the spectra. in the meantime, i will delete your post in my sponsor forum. Cheers By me Sure, pls do it by this weekend for i need to deciding on which tube to buy. Anyway, don't understand why you need to delete my post.!!??? By me You are the sole distributor and you are the one earning the dollar. Do you think I should be the one doing all this verification when you are as you claim, the sole distributor for Aqua Science tubes in Singapore? As a sole distributor, I should be expecting better service than this. You did post the charts in your website, you have to be responsible for the information you provided. You mean you never verify the information provided? If something goes wrong with the tubes, do reefers call the manufacturer to check on the problem or you, as a sole distributor should be answerable?? You are not answering my simple question…….'Why is there a discrepancy in the charts?' Simple as that. I'll have to discuss this in the 'product and equipment' forum if you are not going to answer my simple question…. And I wouldn't be calling you, because there is a paper trail for the pm correspondence. Awaiting you answer…
  8. I bought those big bags of dried seaweed from the dried goods store. Took me eons to finish 1 bag.
  9. Of course the "ideal" situation is that people actually believe some of the crap that you posted. Unfortunately some actually do. For someone who silently witnessing for only 1 month plus, you sure do know a lot. Do you think we are stupid?
  10. So easy to quit meh? I tried to stop reefing for about a year, but made the mistake of going into a Marine LFS. After that there is no turning back. But I don't recall declaring me quitting reefing. Mmmm.
  11. Wah, 75% of the lot. From the pic alone can see about 32 rics, so the guy took at least 24 rics. At $25 each, the lot will cost $600! Seem like we are going to have some one trimming his ric garden soon...
  12. No lah, not him. The gatherings must be successful in order to recuit disciples mah. Otherwise how to recruit?
  13. That's a good way to win. How come I never thought about this...
  14. what model is this? 180 or 240? Paiseh, not familiar with AquaC skimmers.
  15. Disciples a lot. Otherwise you think all those gatherings for nothing one? But too bad sometimes disciples also don't know one another, so sometimes got "ka ki nang" whack "ka ki nang".
  16. Ah, not taking sides again, I see. Don't be so sure...
  17. Can try Nature Aquarium. I got a light set 2 x 18W PL light set just nice for 1.5 feet tank there.
  18. For the size of the bubble produced with the current marine protein skimmers, you probably spend less and get an air pump with a airstone. Freshwater skimmers does not rely on the bubble density and bubble size to produce skimmates.
  19. There are fresh water skimmers but almost all are for commercial aqua culture purposes. The technology is not viable for consumer applications. There was a fresh water model by one of the german manufacturers, but I don't think anyone brought them to singapore.
  20. Saw some at LCK 110, can drop by to have a look.
  21. I will like to second the nomination. that but I am afraid that I would accused of posting nonsense again, so I will post relevant information. For someone who has all the lobangs for expensive skimmers at good rates, it is kind of odd that there is this posting. Perhaps to "test water", see if the forum still remembers. Anyway, for Weipro skimmers, as much as they are cheap skimmers, their price has dropped even more recently. I remember buying a 2011 at $80, now I can get 2014 at that price. Petmart, and C328 sells them. I am sure even with the NS allowance, this amount is affordable. As for Macro, can always get from Bio Ocean. Side track a bit, Mr SouthPaw, if you really want to be a moderator, you should show your outburst in more threads, and not just threads that involve acidjazz. Check your post history.
  22. Red Dragon is really quiet. But it is expensive.
