  1. With that amount of passion and upgraded equipment that you are using, why not upgrade to a bigger tank and start from there instead? Sooner or later you will eventually find the tank too small. Might as well save the hassle now since you have not started adding any LS inside yet. BTW, if you really want to stick with the 34L, a thermoelectric chiller will do nicely for that size of tank - cheap and good. You can easily get it brand new (60L model) from www.taobao.com for about $100++ inclusive of shipping.
  2. Hi Raynaz, there are a few 'scam' shops around. PS, TM, and 'Blue signboard' are a few of the lingo that were used last time to associate these shops to avoid. Most of the scam shops have since closed down after cashing in on the nemo craze. There are also 1-2 sponsors here which I avoid (they being protected by this forum - so no open negative comments allowed on them). Best is to keep a lookout and do your own research... Do a search in the forums, I can't specifically mention names here and neither should anyone too. (There was a thread here that lead to a legal defamation case years ago). So guys, please be aware and watch out what you say here.
  3. Totally agreed. Many years back in 2008-2009 there were many negative reviews on their wall mount tanks and bad service. Most of the newer members here don't know who are the non reputable shops anymore. I believe they can still survive by 'conning' gullible people like TS. This shop falls under the same category as the shops at PS & TM. Best to avoid unless you like being scammed.
  4. I think he is referring to Atlantis @ IMM. If he did some research there are some past negative threads about them.
  5. Thanks for sharing. Anywhere to purchase this dual OTS locally?
  6. Use a small flat tip screwdriver and pry out a little part of the LR that its base is attached on.
  7. Thanks for the info. Any improvement in colour after supplementing with T5? Thinking of adding T5 to my LEDs as well.
  8. May I know what bulbs are you using for your Aquazonic T5?
  9. Birdnest. Posted previously. Price revised to $15.
  10. Sorry for the bad pics. Using S5 to take pics but somehow still can't capture the real colours. Collect at Toa payoh evenings. Sms/whatsapp 965-80-411 Multibranch pink milli with green polyps. $20 Blue tip green acro. $15
  11. Please do not give wrong information. Urine does not help. It only makes it worse. Do a search on google. http://skeptics.stackexchange.com/questions/1555/does-urine-heal-jellyfishes-sting http://www.advancedaquarist.com/blog/mythbusting-use-vinegar-not-urine-for-jellyfish-stings http://www.sportdiver.com/article/news/diving-doc-jellyfish-stings
  12. Just to share that SPS is a whole new different ball game. Before I started keeping SPS, my LPS was flourishing in my tank even with both eyes closed. Applying that same methodology with SPS resulted in failure. If you really like the challenge, you should change to a full SPS setup.
  13. Guys, don't need to waste time and effort explaining the obvious.
  14. Can't remember the exact nick, I think its subzero or something. Check out his tank thread, he had the same idea and used egg crate for the edges.
  15. Did some pruning last night. Green tip orange birdnest with purple polyps, multibranch 2" height - $18
  16. DIY a wire mesh similar to those that you use for BBQ, but use fishing lines for the wires instead. This method doesn't block light, doesn't cover up your water surface (gas exchange) and prevents fish from jumping.
  17. Green acro with blue tips. About 1.5 inches. $12 Purple digi. 1.5 inches. $8 Collection at Jurong East St 21. Weekdays office hours 10am - 6pm only as tank is in the office. Arrangements can be made to collect in Toa Payoh upon confirmation (for other timings at my convenience). Whatsapp/SMS 965-80-411
  18. First of all you need to find out what is the cause of your NO3 and work from there. (eg. overfeeding, overstocked, faulty test kit etc) There are a lot of ways to reduce NO3 but applying them is only a workaround but end of the day its still not solving the root cause.
