  6. I live in Yishun! They grow quite quickly. I normally take out a big bunch every few weeks.. Will post on pasar malam next time i take out.
  7. As long as the volume of water is correct & weighting scale is accurate ..the SG should be correct ... FYI: Sg does get affected by temperature too...the old red sea salt pack had a table of Sg in different temperatures.
  8. Correct me if i am wrong! But why bother measuring salt with a spoon, just follow instructions on pack. I use red sea salt . 38.2 g/l for coral. For a 20 Liter bucket 764 grams of salt. Just use a small weight machine & the SG is always right.
  9. You Can use cheato or other algae plants to reduce nitrates. But i am not sure how effective it is.. & i am sure its not a quick fix!
  10. How long does the brine shrimp live following this process.. When you change water do you use salt & how much salt ? Mine only survive for 2 days if i am lucky to get a fresh batch for LFS
  11. Bro you are lucky, mine only eats live brine shrimps. I have to buy live brine shrimp, every 2-3 days.. My tank has pods but since its a 2 ft cube, i think not enough to sustain a mandarin on just pods

  14. I haven't done any nitrate testing.. I can only guess the nitrates must be high that's why my cheatos grow fast
  15. Grows quickly...not sure if that's a good thing or my tank has very high nutrients cheato collected
  16. I have mine growing at the section of the sump with 11watt PL white lights. Lights are on for 10-12 hrs a day Grows like crazy Every few weeks I need to take out a big bunch & give it off

  23. In my experience they do best in moderate lighting & flow just enough to move the polyp...but not strong enough to close it.... If any zoas start closing one or heads ..I would move them to another location ...once all polyps close...its not a good sign already...
