  15. Oh! literally a regular fan faced at the surface of the water with this switch. Similar to my homebrew setup! lol. I was thinking some specific for an aquarium. Thanks bro.
  16. Amazing! Very impressive and beautfiul. 27-28! must be in a dark corner! I'm up to 29.5 most days thus the fan idea..
  17. Sorry. happy to PM but can you tell me more - point me to some sites to buy a similar setup? Thanks.
  18. Hi, As I'm learning more about this hobby - moved into keeping softies. What do most people do with the frags/plugs - do you simply clip off the post and glue the frag plug disc onto some rock? Or do you slice the coral (say Zoas) off the plug and attach directly to the rock work when it's been acclimated? Some of the plugs I've bought are quite big and starting out with only one or two polyps per frag. Looks very off to have the disc showing - what are the tools of the trade used here and best practices anyone can share? Many thanks.
  19. Hi LSJK, can you share more about the fan setup you're using - are you having to top up alot? I also don't have a chiller (want to avoid if possible) so was looking at fan setups... Thanks.
  20. Post a rescape of my tank, and new lighting, my cloves also not opening. I keep my zoas near the bottom of the tank, these cloves are midway up - is there a requirement to keep this as low in the tank or can live all over? I know there a thing such as too much light but assuming this is not the case? Very similar pic to Michael's post but been a couple of days - only see two or three stalks open. Thoughts?
  21. Just for the rest, I ended up going with a Cetus2 LED - comes with a nice arm in the package at a great price. Performance so far (2 days) is impressive, running at 40% and the tank has really lit up. Softies doing well - hammer is the best I've ever seen it in months. Great control, scheduling all included no additional adapters needed (bluetooth only). I have it up at the highest on the arm so decent coverage for my 90cm. If I go to more lighting requirement corals, I can add a second I believe to make it work but for now all good.
  22. Hi all, relatively new to the coral keeping side of things. Starting out with some softies (zoas, etc) - have a nicrew reef led light, seems to be ok, but not alot of lighting control - I'm sure it's not good enough longer term. I would maybe get into more corals like LPS (currently no interest in SPS due to time commitment?). But even with softies, I'm happy right now. My tank is 90cm long, can folks recommend the best light - I'm on a bit of a budget so please note. Thanks.
