Yellow powder use for bacteria infection treatment while copper/cupermine(preferred) is for ich/velvet treatment. Once u hv confirmed is velvet, u need treatment immediately (fast), velvet killed the entire fish in ur tank within few days.

I bought one midas benny fm pinnacle yesterday and left ard 2-3 as of yesterday. Many blue line angel in the quarantine tanks.

I got my Cuban hogfish from LCK201 2 weeks ago coz my daughter also said not many red in my tanks. U might want to try LCK, good size, feeding and good price too.

Personally, I think most of the parasite came from the tanks at the LFS.

My angel fish is too slow on getting the food on surface, mostly taken by tangs. What piss me off is that my sohal tang and atlantic blue tang get so excited when i throw the food down, they splash a lot of water out. So in order to make sure every fish get to eat, I throw quite a lot in one shot. I m hoping NLS could have food that will sink slowly.

I m lazy coz I feed them 6~7 times each day excluding nori. But the fish goes crazy on this food, they love it.

NLS doesn't sink well.

May i know what type of pellets food does you guy feed the angelfish?

When u hv a lot of big fish, it makes the tank looks small Btw, if dosing vinegar, best to use dripping method.

Kakani, what fish whack ur french angel? Btw, I also change to vinegar after using sugar for long period.

Most fish farms don't do fish acclimation.

Currently I hv 8 large angelfish size fm 1.5 to 7inch. IMO, is better to hv angelfish eating aggressively before putting into display tank. And watchout are they just fighting or going for a kill. If just fighting, leave them alone. But if they are going for a kill, which mean even if one is hiding and the others still hunt him down, I think better decide to catch either one of them out.

I hv been using this for almost 10yrs and it is still working. I mainly using it for suck up detritus and Un-eaten food in the QT. My only complain is the filter sock hole is too big for tiny detritus.

2 mths back, I put 1L of carbon (10x more than I usually used) into the filter bag after rinse it many times with RO/DI water, hope to remove yellowish water before CNY. To my surprise, 5 tangs and 4 angels got HLLE within 3 days and worsen in next 4 days. I took out the carbon immediately. Now 3 tangs and 1 angel have recovered fully while the rest recovering very slowly. For my case, I am quite sure the carbon is the culprit.

The male will change sex to female after some time. Male looks much nice color than female.

Oh, I also feed a lot of New Life Spectrum Thera A With Extra Garlic.

My PT used to look worse than urs while in QT due to long period exposure of cupramine. But it's recovered very fast once in the main tank with lot of food supplement and feeding. I soak seaweed with kent vitamine C, kent garlic xtreme, kent zoecon, vita chem, selcon.

My queen and blueface eaten 2 cleaner and 2 fire shrimps right in front of my eye. And I tried my luck again, bought 2 cleaner shrimps, before they landed on the sand when I put in, all my angelfishs rushed to attack and eat them. Perhaps is just my angelfish addicted to shrimp.

Shrimp is in ur large angel menu.

IMO, the QT tank needs to be washable, water total drain dry and sterilization if fish died in QT. I used to have complicated QT tank but in the end, a simple plastic tank with air pump and bio balls work best for me.

From the pic, looks more like ich than velvet. Velvet will kill ur fish very very fast within few days. IMO, changing water is not going to be have any major improvement but UV or Ozone does help abit.
