  1. hi, appreciate anyone could advise on what are these, seems to be some algae. So far, growing on GPS and chalice.
Tank is a year old, Phosphate is between 0.06 to 0.1.
Anyone could advise on how to get rid of this? Thank you. 1424029783_WhatsAppImage2022-03-27at5_29.55PM(1).jpeg.a268fafa0c50266fb1487f777307d62e.jpeg

  2. bro, which compressor u using? can recommend? and how much ah?

Any brand will do but must be non-inverter.
You can get a 1hp power.
With budget constraints can go for used ~sgd500 with drop in coil.
New one would be around SGD800++ just the compressor exclude drop in coil and installation charges

  3. Bro ocean viper,
If cause of the gas is there any recommend place which you can advise to go.

Actually you can get those typical home aircon guys which can help you weld on a service valve and top up gas at the same time.
Just whether they want to take this job which would be cheaper than getting those dedicated people.
Otherwise you can search for Derek in this forum whom provide this kind of service, price wise not sure as I only engaged him once and now I’m using drop in coil and install by myself.

  4. If warm and takes long time to cold the water even for small bucket or barrel of water, then likely not enough gas.
In fact it should get hotter where you can’t place your hand on it too long after kicks in while.
If this is the case, just need to top up the gas.
This is also assuming your temperature probe in the chiller is working fine. This can be verify easily by comparing with a thermometer.

I’m not sure for Artica, hailea and resun does not service valve allow to top up gas like our home aircon.
So you may need to look into this part which will add in some additional cost for weld one service valve for future although likely don’t require top up gas so frequent

  6. Hi Guys,
Need some help from you guys.
I have a Arctica chiller 1/4 is function properly like the water in the main tank is not cooling down and the unit kick start every half and hour and the display will show 26 but the water temperature is showing around 28 using a temperature pro to check. and have done the my own servicing like cleaning and blowing out the dust internal areas.
i know the agent for this chiller is aqua nautic. and is quite expensive. cause called him and told him the issue and he said he need to check and i ask him how much just to check is $40.
is there any other chiller servicemen in Singapore which cheap.
    Thanks

    Hi bro.
Based on your statement, if the control unit is working, then only 2 possible
Not enough gas or no gas.
You can try to touch the black bowl which is the cooling liquidity and it should be warm or slightly hot after kicks in a while.
If is not warm etc during kicks in, you may need to replace that portion.

I have one to sell at SGD20 bought for replacement.
Never use before, bought it and mounted on the box, then remove as the current used is able to rectify the issue.
No more box as already discarded.

  9. How do you guys know when to harvest from the reactor. Ie know when it’s full.
looks the algae /diatoms are receeding after 2 weeks with the reactor… somewhat hopeful !

I harvest when I don’t see any light rays coming out from the reactor… meaning charro overgrown till thick enough to prevent lights seen from top of the lid

  10. Still not veri sure.I still dun understand which to connect to which.

From the ac adapter, you connect brown colour wire to pin 7 and using a shorter one to also connect pin 7 to pin 3.
The pin 1 will be brown wire to your compressor.
The blue wire from the compressor will come back and connect to pin 9 together with a blue wire from the ac adapter.

  11. Hi..Temp controller.May be intrested. But will need to know how to used it??

    Very simple.
Just two wire from the ac to the controller, the brown wire additional to the compressor side and then wire the other end to the compressor. The blue wire from the compressor will come back and join to the blue wire from the AC blue.
