  1. Watch out for water parameters, make sure they are balanced and top up if required.
  2. Wa rasa lu pelihara crabs lagi bagus. Boleh tukar title tank lu.... Crab reefer...
  3. Turn off your biopellet for a while as this provide lots of food for your cyno, Put the bacteria king where there is very slow movement of water (become like deep sand bed). Dose your prodibio at this bacteria king. If you dose goodbye PO4, then no need to use rowa or vice versa. Put more liverock if you can. Since your nitrates level are going down, continue your normal husbandry.
  4. Need 100 posts in order to post in pasar malam is way too much, IMO.
  5. I think just don't buy from those you don't know and not active in forum... Even if you buy from LFS, and the fish die or sps rtn, who do we blame?
  6. I've cut/paste from the PM i've send to a reefer.. I bought the plastic boxes (x2) from sim lim Plastic white screen for the algae to grow at Spotlight at Plaza singapura, near the art/craft area. LED I bought from aquastyle 5 x red LED - http://www.aquastyle...LED-3W-Red.html 1 x LED driver http://www.aquastyle...35%252d700.html 1 x big heat sink to mount the LEDs and superglue directly onto the heat sink. The LED is shaped like a star so I apply the glue at the tip of stars while putting the heatcompond at the center of the LED star and press hard onto the heatsink. Then wire up/solder all the LED in series and connect to the output of the LED driver. Heat sink and heat compund I bought from Sim Lim as well. I bought 2-way air pump, the strongest I could find, (around $25 type) I bought the soft air tubes and hard air tube. Soft air tubes can be bought anywhere. Hard air tube I bought from 1 fish shop in front of Sim Lim Tower. Also bought the suction cup to fix one of the box onto the inside of aquarium glass (water area). The hard air tube I drilled a few small holes and put at the bottom.
  7. The screen is 6x4 and the LEDs are 5x 3W I left it for 3 weeks coz I was outstation then holiday. The great thing is that the algae at the back did not die off, probably due to the strong LED light penetration. The total weight of the algae is about 165g
  8. 3 weeks of growth and it is quite alot.. . And thick also... I notice that it is now very easy to remove the algae. Just pluck off the whole clump and the screen is quite clean already. Then just leave a few strings of algae for regrow....
  9. Yeah, very shocking for me as well. I didn't expect the algae to be that much and extremely long as well.
  10. My tank is like yours with more on SPS. I use my own settings for both sets. 100% for about 6hrs, the rest gradual ramp up/down. My personnel take on this fitting is great because all my sps/lps growth, colouration are good. My previous DIY LED with blues/whites can only support a few types of SPS such as birdnest, valida, monti, but millis, pocci, luminous birdnest, rics and other difficult sps can't survive. After a few months of using 420R 16K, my new millis, BN, all types of monti, are doing great.
  11. Managed to get good algae growth with 5x red LEDs... Day 1 After 2-3 weeks, algae is overflowing. I think need to harvest earlier. I'm quite surprised with this growth even though I dose vodka and nitrate/phosphate is 0.
  12. Hope this december is more about learning and sharing than competition itself....
  13. I use biodigest every 2 weeks and vodka dosing everyday.
  14. Yeah, I bought this from Henry also. Now big and fat. Worm killer, nudi killer, shrimp killer as well...
  15. How much do you dose per day? Based on the mixed tank, you should dose 0.5mL/gallon tank. So if your tank ia 100G, then you have to dose 50ml/day (plus/minus to adjust further on the calcium intake)
