    Could you advise what livestocks should a beginner gets?

    My current shopping list:

    1. blue tang

    2. cleaner shrimp

    3. fire shrimp

    4. turbo snails

    thanks guys. i think i will just get a cab. just want to find out are the corals and fish proper labeled and categoried e.g soft/hard corals at iwarna. i am justed worried after i visited iwarna, dun noe where to get a cab... maybe must walk out to the far bus stop.

    would suggest not running the skimmer during cycling period.

    we throw market prawns in the tank to kick off cycling... when you switch on the skimmer, you are removing part of the waste and hence slowing down and reducing the bacterial growth and count.

    market prawns = raw prawns?

    There are kiasu ppl out there that use gloves to handle corals. They prob belong to <1% of the reefing community.

    Thanks. I'm new to this hobby, i am just worried the corals poisions...

    Shops are normally stocked based on shipment. I think a visit to the LFSes is worth much more than the advice we can give you here on how the stores categorise their corals or how to tell btw soft and hard corals etc.

    I am also looking at the RSMD. Looks cool. IMHO, the de-lighting setup does not look as good, very messy.

    de-lighting is not cheap. RSMD has a number shortcomings.. and maybe noisy too... but i like the 34 gallon size. I am going to iwarna to look at custom made tank this weekends and decide. personally i think spending $2k for 1.5ft is not worth it.. but others might have their views too.

    How about noise from chiller? For me, the noisiest part of my tank is when the chiller kicks in. Drowns out everything else.

    Actually most skimmers are quiet, except the cheaper n lousier quality ones. Especially when housed inside the cabinet, you will not hear a thing.

    i am going to get hailea 1/10, read many reviews and youtube, it seems it's running quiet.

    Hi all bros,

    Please let me know if you're having or had seen a running redsea max 130d? I read it's very noisy especially the fans and skimmer. I called AM and was told it's not noisy at all.

    Anyone had JBJ 28G Nano Cube HQI 150? I know this system generates alot of heat... would a chiller solve the issues? Please share your experience.
