  1. If your nutrient high, you would normally see black brown algae 1st ( like oil slick) which does not help much in removing PO4 & NO3. However they still must be cleaned off. Green black ones will come after your nutrient starts to drop & eventually green ones would come. I took one year to see whole screen green ones. But dun worry, by then your NO3 & PO4 will be low. And different tank different result. Some will be faster. For my case, i feed too much, that is why one year for my case. I fed my fishes 3 times every day. Corals three to four times a week. FYI, i now decomm my ATS & running biopellets already. Juz sharing my past experiences. Good luck to u. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
    1yr? Wow...
  2. bros, will likely switch to ATI. My last question on ATI is on the ceiling mounting. Wii there be any issue attaching the cable retainers to our concrete ceiling? do i require additional tools or accessories beside a driller?

thanks, want to get everything right before buying the ATI.

  3. Thanks. I was at AM last Sunday but not much fishes. Iwarna also not much fishes. Instead I got one royal gramma from Ah Beng at Pasir Ris and it was feeding in my tank looking fine. But it died yesterday while my other fishes are doing fine. My guess is that it was killed by one of my fish although all my fishes should not be very aggressive ones (ie. medium percula clown, yellow wrasse, firegoby, other gobies, anthia, banggai cardinals). Maybe yellow wrasse whacked the royal gramma because the similar shape and size and the yellow color.

    Maybe ur tank is overcrowded?
