Managed to remove the old pump although was left with a rusty screw stuck in the wall. Replaced with the Aquabee 7000. After removal of the mebner pump, realised that it's not suitable for marine tanks. (No thanks to the guy who sold me the pump together with the tank) Attached is the picture of the corrosion and realised the following. 1. Why no one else seems to be using this pump for their tank 2. Why my skimmer skims out brownish stuff the last 2 years (always thought was the rawas) 3. Why my rawas has to be replaced regularly. 4. Why only hardy corals can survive in my tank. Put in poly filter and will do a few water changes as well as was out some rust stuck to the pipes. Hopefully can get my tank back to full potential soon.

THANKS! Thats a great idea. Currently diverted my skimmer pump in the sump to my chiller which goes back into the tank thus giving some water circulation Hopefully should be enough

THanks for help and advise bro. Will try to unscrew the unions. Think the hard part will be getting to the screws that are mounting the pump to the wood. Hopefully the holes will still be able to hold the new pump. Worse case have to modify the pipings There are control valves installed so should be able to shut them off.

Last night my entire house electricity tripped and managed to narrow down the problem to my return pump. currently my pump in mounted onto the back wall at the bottom of the tank and is integrated together with with the return pipes thus making it difficult to change/replace. Moreover the brand of the pump Meber (german) is not easy to find. Anyone with a similar system who had problems with the pump? Tank is already around 5 years old Any advise would be appreciated

Invest more in a good skimmer. You won't regret it. Your tank size seems quite small. Watch out for NO3 and PO4 problems

Agreed that Hyudai car or korean vehicles for that matter no longer have that cheapo feel and have come a long way. However the hyundais/KIAs/Chevys(aka Daewoo) are still famed for mass market vehicles offering exellent value for money and not sports vehicles. The tuscani is trying to do a Toyota/lexus thing. Still a long way to go in terms of branding. IMO when u buy a coupe/sports car/rally car, the main kick is the ownership of a vehicle that has won countless rallies and famed for their power and performance. Definately not some wannabe car *cough* tusca *cough* ni * cough*. Probably more worthwhile to get a sonata instead. Then again thats my own personal opinion, there may be others who would like a good looking car at a good price and with the current tax structure and cost of cars, that may not be a very bad option
