  1. Can you share how long does your 1/4 chiller kick in for your 3 feeter? Thanks in advance!
  2. Anyone knows where to get the above mentioned product? Thank you.
  3. From my experience, the ambience temperature will also affect the rate of chilling down the water. And where chiller is being placed. Heat produced by equipment will also add on to it. Like what the other has advise, higher LPH does not mean a faster cool down length. Modifying with an external thermostat and taking temperature reading straight from the tank will ensure a more accurate temperature reading.
  4. Hailea chiller will kick in when its 1 degree difference. The + 0.2 isnt used to set the kick in temperature difference. Its to offset the temperature reading from the actual temperature reading to the chiller reading.
  5. 5th years anniversary of my NS enlistment.

  6. Wa, is your chiller modified with external thermostat? Even with external thermostat, my hs28a is kicking in every one hour plus. Paired with 1250L/H canister.
  7. cmon jy, study harder. concentrate.

  8. For Gerald - www.tankmaker.com and N30 is located at Blk5038 AMK IND PK 2 #01-427 S(569541)
  9. China brand might not be accurate in the water temperature reading as compared to the Artica, due to the placement of the thermostat within the chiller. One problem that will arise is that chiller will kick in more often due to the inaccurate reading of temperature. Did a search on it before i purchased my chiller even though its just a 1/10 hp, found out that many of the hobbyist have modified their china brand chiller with external thermostat to get a more accurate reading of temperature.
  10. I've really got no idea what decision to make.

  11. For 2ft, you can choose a 1/10 hp chiller. There are several brands out there in the market, Hailea,Resun,Teco,Artica. Hailea and Resun 's inbuild thermostat is not very accurate though, to overcome it you'll need to DIY an external thermostat to more accurate reading. For filter, most people will recommend Eheim as they have spare parts readily available. What i did for mine is to get a inlet > prefilter > canister > chiller > outlet > tank
  12. Failure are proof of attempts.

  13. Cant make a decision.

  14. Best to see the tank running before purchase, so you can see if chiller is functioning and not leaking at any point.
  15. Normally i'll do top-ups every 2 days with distilled water bought from NTUC.
  16. Never thought of this before, thanks for sharing this. Will head to Daiso to get a pack of it too.
  17. 2nd hand, best to view it running in the seller's setup before taking over to prevent any disputes.
