  1. AT if yer intrested in my dual pump im willing to send it to ya... hope its not far from kembangan or jurong (gf stays there) and dont say u buy out of pity ar... its an expensive hobby... make mistake lose money must learn how to regain some losses rite? make others lose some money... hahaha
  2. haha... i dont diss all that i sell ( xcept for the ps ) ok let me rephrase the things again.... i have a super efficient and powerful dual air pump... comes with a hi-low speed control for flexibility... apart from that there is the air outlet that is made from white plastic.. the colour of the pump is translucent blue for added beauty... and its going for only $6!!! hurry theres only one! a normal single air pump is also for sale at a price of $3!! buy the dual and get the single for only $2.99!!! black is extravagent.. with is sheer sleek design, my surface skimmer is going at an unbelievable price of $10 the protein skimmer is lousy... dont get it... is that better AT? i dont want to be black listed from this forum if someone finds out the ps sucks...
  3. ive got some really useless stuff to sell off.... Dual air pump = $6 (bought for $12) Single air pump = $3 (bought for $6.80) -----reason for buying - needed a pump for the ps but found out the single one to weak, so went out the same day to get a dual one 'Tom' Surface skimmer = $10 ( bought for $20) -----plain stupidity.i thought its a protein skimmer 'Beyond' Co-current Protein skimmer (really lousy, not worth getting unless wanna see bubbles) = $6 ( bought for $12 ) -----tried it for abt a month. only see yellow water and no gunk can be seen. dont say i didnt warn ya everything still comes in the packaging.. i hope some kind rich soul buy everything from me.... hahaha
  4. oh well... thanx anyway.... i think gotta custom make it somehow....
  5. thanx for the help guys... will be coming down to kelantan road probably in the next few days... fingers are itching rite now, but wallet is moaning anyway... im setting my sump just for 2 reasons ( to put my skimmer and to increase the water capacity of my tank ) i hope its worth it...
  6. btw pck, this site might help u understand diff requirements of fishes/inverts/corals. even comes with a level of difficulty for care. it has helped me reject the temptation to get tangs, thus not creating hell for it ( small tank ar) patience and good luck mate.... http://www.liveaquaria.com/
  7. pck, most invertebrates are less tolerant of ammonia, nitrites and nitrate spikes. i would really recommend u to read up of types of fishes/invertebrates.. If anything goes wrong even in an established tank, the inverts would die first. ive been where u were, excited and cant wait to cycle and 2 clowns had to die because of my ignorance. btw im still a newbie, so my advice are cheap advice... hahaha
  8. sorry for interrupting yer discussion on ns stuff... haha Name : Shahfiq Age : 19 Studying : Ngee ann poly Started : july 2002 Things in 2 feet tank as per now : coral sand, live rock, 2 clowns, 1 turban snail, 1 hermit and one starfish ( probably getting 2 cleaner shrimp tmr ) Hobby : keeping marine fishes and making pple bored with my useless information its always easier to look cute when yer a baby..
  9. how bout a links kinda thing... forumers give websites on different topics and it can get pretty messy... perhaps a forum based entirely on links for ease of reference...? that way, our expert panel of advisors wont have to keep repeating on us newbies to keep on reading... just my 2 cents worth
  10. really intrested in yer plastic tank to be used as my sump... where do ya stay? the length of 16 inches is just nice for my skimmer. whats the internal length ? ( if it was 23 inches, i would buy it tonight! haha )
  11. damn, shd have given my 2 tomatoes away to u guys instead of giving it to the lfs...
  12. reading up would have saved me $50 the air pump, air controller, surface skimmer, co-current skimmer and all are now redundant.....
  13. surface skimmer is not a protein skimmer ( protein skimmer has bubbles generated in them either by air stones, venturi or other means ).. dont do that stupid mistake that i did.. ( really feel like a fool, anyone wanna buy my surface skimmer? ) might wanna read up on protein skimmmer www.saltaquarium.com ( they have a whole lotta info abt ps ) and only then would u understand how it really works and one more thing, dont waste money on really cheap skimmers ( feel like a fool again cause i bought a practically useless co-current skimmer which cost ard $14 ) cause it doesnt even take much gunk ( most of it is just the salt water ). my $40 venturi seems to be doing the job ( ive never been so excited to see brown gunk ). just my 2 cents worth good luck...
  14. i couldn't agree with liverock better! u would even notice and recognise the crabs that come with the live rock when its a small tank.. well good luck in yer next try...
  15. hey guys, im new to this forum and im glad ive found it ... ive got a question to ask... i have intentions of having a sump behind my 2 feet tank.. However, i dont have much space ( ard 20 cm ) for the width of the tank and i think ive gotta custom make it. Question is, where can i go to custom make it ( tried looking for glass shops but dont seem to find any ). If anyone knows could u give me an estimate of the price for a tank with dimensions ard 600 x 200 x 250mm? (hoping it doesnt cost me <$100 ) Thanx guys..
