  1. thats normal behaviour for anemone. as I mentioned, ur anemone is bleaching. usually a one way process. if u suspect its affected by the zoas, run carbon to reduce chemical warfare. all the best. usually when ur anemone look like that, as I mentioned, on the way to anemone heaven liao.
  2. Bro, you can troll the pasar malam. cannot post but can contact the seller. 10K or 16K ur preference. just take note if u not hanging the lights, means u use the stand that comes with the razor. see your tank thickness as it will add extra weight thus stress on the tank. Good luck!
  3. alright. dont touch it already but keep a lookout on it. once it starts floating about or it starts shrinking for a whole day or two, you have to pull it out before it gets into your wavemaker and you get anemone juice.
  4. Its bleaching. Take a small piece of prawn and use chopstick to see a feeding response. If never respond, on the way to up lorry.
  5. Most probably. What do you mean my mouth been expelled inside out? I think pictures would be much clearer. Is the mouth bloated? or is there stringy stuff coming out of the mouth like its vomiting?
  6. help you highlight your answer. easier for other bros to read and advise accordingly. 1. Wavemaker - Can get Jebao RW-4 2. Instead of using those dead coral pieces in the media section, rather u remove it and add ceramic rings like biohome for more efficiency. 3. For the prawn, it is needed to introduce ammonia to your tank to start the cycle. However, it also depends greatly on the live rock in your tank. Since you got very little, adding the prawn would be helpful to build up the bacteria population. Add half a prawn, leave overnight, next day remove when you wake up. For your tank's volume should be enough. 4. Bacteria to dose - really up to you. Point (3) helps you build up the bacterial population by giving it food. Dosing bacteria is simply adding more of these bacteria. Some people say it helps, some people say waste money. Things you need 1. ANN Test Kits (if you havent buy) HTH.
  7. Hi, I am not a pro, but just giving some comments. - What is the volume of the tank? Water turnover should be at least 10x while some even go up to 20x. You might want to consider a stronger powerhead, unless you intend to get a wavemaker in the future. Volume not too sure. Its a 2 ft x 1ft x 1ft if not wrong. For powerhead that's the max I can fit into the back of the IOS. For Wavemaker any recommend for 2 ft tanks ? - You mentioned Coral pieces. It is not advisable to have any corals (or fish) in tank until cycle stage is over. So if you do have coral in, try to see if anyone can help host them first until your tank finish cycling The coral pieces think is those white hard dead corals to place in Media section. - You probably would need to get a Chiller or a Fan, to help keep water temperature down. Unless the tank is in a room that is always air-conditioned. Already bought a fan for 2 ft tanks but haven't use it till cycle complete. - Did you remember to use something (like market prawn) to kick start the cycle stage? So I need to place 1 pcs of the market prawn to kick start ? When did I need to remove it ? Any bacteria dose to recommend to use during cycling ? Hope this helps. Happy Reefing
  8. LOL bro. let the skimmer break in for about a week. the microbubbles will get lesser. as i mentioned, its very sensitive to slight movement of water or drop of water level. and dont off it at all. cause sure will have microbubbles, and the process of wanting to kill yourself will start all over again. btw if its clear water, try raising the skimmer higher a little. and play with the air intake. close it all the way while it is breaking in.
  9. yeah thats what I read before I bought it also. even voted top 5 best things in 2014 in a reefbuilders post. but either I kena a batch problem or its just normal for the skimmer to be super sensitive and produce micro bubbles frequently. thats why I suggested u trying mine first before getting one for urself first hand or from me.
  10. find a big separation box. place it in your display tank where other fishes can see and be seen. put ur blue face in for minimimum one to two weeks. dont feed the blue face as much as u feed the rest to show ur anger at it for chasing ur caribbean beauty. let the french be comfortable and make it as fat as possible. release the blue face once one-two weeks are over. observe. should be better by then. if blue face still ive been doing this for quite some time now.
  11. Bro, I can pass you my tunze 9001 for you to try. Not liking it personally. Just bought it about a month ago. If you like it, then can discuss further. If not can return me.

  15. been neglecting my fowlr for some time now. better to let the fishes go to less lazy owners. all fishes stable, parasite free as undergone copper and prazi. with me about a year. all fishes feeding whatever I throw in tank. nls, new era, mysis, nori. mysis preferred though. all fish prices are cheap already. so pls fight the urge to bargain. 3inch Flame Angel nice marking on one side - $40 Semifasciatus Angel Pair - seasonal fish -$80 3inch King Angel- fast grower- $80 5inch Koran Angel changing - FOC 3.5inch Koran Angel - unique marking - $15 4.5inch Asfur Angel-slight yellow head - $60 8-9inch Emperor Angel - suspect past life japanese cause I can finish a pack of nori in a week just feeding it - $60 collection this sunday morning at Marine Terrace. bring ur own pail/plastic. bigger pail/plastic for the emperor. will take a video when I get back home. pm me.
  16. there is only so much Ca & Alk water can hold before it precipitates out. so dosin or mixing kalk in ur water for water change is not gg to help much. so first, get a good salt mix. RSCP have high CA and Kalk but depends on whether ur corals are sensitive to this. Secondly to solve ur problem, add vinegar with kalk in ur top off water. vinegar allows for more kalk to dissolve before they become insoluble and become the white flakes u see at the bottom. another added benefit to adding vinegar is that it will be a carbon source to the bacterias in ur tank. BUT pls google it first. too much carbon source can lead to disastrous consequences esp if u are keeping sensitive corals. hope this helps
  17. bro, tell u secret since u got good eye for good things : it was an ssc colony which browned out due to adjusting to my lights. btw u now no tanks arh?
