That's what I have too. The LFSs here in Canada call it powder brown tang too although it really isn't.

Yes bro, it's 1L of home cultured. It was cultured from DTs though.

I would not worry about any detrimental effects on the glass. The only worry would be if your frag becomes a huge colony and may be too heavy for the glass to handle(especially if you use thing glass).

I have a 3x18x18 tank and i feed 1L of phyto daily. I turn off the skimmer and pour it in and turn on my skimmer 1-2 hours later. Whatever's not used up will be skimmed out. As for your brain aka prata, you can feed it with mysis shrimps. Just get a turkey baster and spray some mysis over it.

I am not entirely sure of the idea of topping off evaporate water = changing water, BUT I've seen some reefers who've not changed their water for over a year and they have amazing tanks. Of course, they have good equipment to maintain the required levels, eg. calcium, magnesium etc.
