  1. Nano....1 would prob be too strong. Lpa, prefer gentle to moderate current from my experience.
  2. Depends, you might wanna eliminate dead spots in your tank. If you choose those expensive led, then will be quite tight. Or perhaps you could get second hand stuff, it'll bring down the cost
  3. Live copepods. you shouldn't have bought the fish if you don't know its feeding requirement. Perhaps you could try feeding it live brine shrimp but live brine shrimp lacks the nutrition it needs
  4. Carbon dosing? Don't need to take out the ceramic rings...unless you need the space for something else. As long as it doesn't trap debris or restrict the flow then there isn't any negative effects I can think of. you're spending alot of money on chemical filtration. Personally, I don't use stuff like purigen. Good carbon and rows phos is all you need. Why you need two layer of filter wool? I've been using one layer throughout my years of reefing.
  5. depending on what you are keeping. You might be able to cut down in some areas. I would go for a decent second hand skimmer. Budget for skimmer would be below 100. Maybe second hand Prizm or a reef octopus. I don't think anybody would sell a second hand mce500 for $200. I would see if anyone is selling a suitable second hand pump...and whether it fits my budget. The problem with second hand stuff is whether you can find it for the price you want. I don't really have much opinion on pumps...just don't buy a cheapskate one that breaks down easily. Lighting wise, it depends on what you plan to keep.
  6. is it possible to remove the brackets? HOw how thick is it?
  7. From advanced aquarist online... "With full realization that I'll get email stating that 'clams are not corals', I can not be content to leave it at that. So, I will make an even bolder statement - Tridacna clams' tissues (along with certain other genera) are colorless and contain no spectacular pigments. You are paying good money for an optical illusion. But what an illusion!" thought that this is an interesting article. http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2008/1/aafeature3

    WTG fish

Giving away a spotted grouper. Giving away because of time and energy constrain. grouper is about 2inch. Please be aware that the fish can grow quite big and requires a large tank. If you are interested, you can and me at 97845785. SMS me your sgreedclub name and when you are free. A bottle of pepsi/coke would be a nice gesture.
  10. But if they are eating well, you don't need to be so worried. Cool livestocks...two helfrichi....
  11. Its not because of strong wave in this case. From my past experience, its usually because of stress. Other possible reason would be a lack of hiding places, water parameters and bullying.
